LIAR

MIRANDA

I stared at my reflection in the mirror and nodded in approval. I looked really sexy in the short, black dress I had on. There was no way Collins would not go crazy if he saw me looking so hot.

He had been my boyfriend for three years in high school and now we were both in our first year in the same college. However, he sent a breakup text to me last night.

I couldn't find him all day in school but I learned about the party that would take place in his house. Even though I wasn't invited, I intended to gatecrash the party and give him the one thing he had been asking for.

My constant refusal over the years was the same reason why he broke up with me but I loved him too much to let him go. If having sex with him was what I had to do to keep him, then I was getting laid tonight.

I arrived at Collins' house a few minutes past six and saw that the party was in full swing. His family was well-to-do, so hosting a party such as that was a piece of cake for him, especially when his parents were out of the country.

I stole the attention of a lot of people as I searched for him at the pool. I knew I was a very beautiful girl so the stares did not surprise me.

When I couldn't find him there, I walked into the house and to my surprise, saw him kissing a girl on his couch with a few of his friends making out in other parts of the house.

I gritted my teeth in anger and walked toward them. Pulling the girl by the hair, I dragged her from the couch and pushed her to the ground. She got up and wanted to fight me but I caught her hands and slapped her as I thundered, "How dare you kiss my boyfriend?"

"What do you think you are doing?" Collins asked me as he walked toward the girl to console her. However, I grabbed his hand and led him toward his room.

He wanted to pull his hand away but when I refused to let go, he stopped fighting and followed me. I locked the door once we were in his room and leaned against it while he folded his arms and asked, "What do you want from me, Mira?"

"How can you kiss another girl, Collins?" I asked feeling hurt.

He sighed, "What is this? We already broke up so cut out the act. Why won't I be with someone else when you won't let me get down with you?"

"And she would?" I questioned.

"Yes she would," he replied. "It's been more than three years, Mira but you still don't trust me. She loves me and is willing to do anything for me, something you obviously can't do."

"I can," I mumbled.

"What did you say?" He asked moving closer to me.

"I said I can do anything for you," I replied.

"Didn't you say you wanted to wait until after we got married?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes, "I'm here now, aren't I?" In all honesty, I was upset that he broke up with me so easily and tried to move on with someone else but it was more important for me to get him back at that moment.

"I even dressed up for you but you didn't notice it," I complained.

He smiled, "You got dressed for me?" He pulled me into his arms and hugged me, "You look very sexy, my love. Sorry about earlier, I was just upset and thought that you do not love me as much as I love you. I cherish you, darling and you will always be my baby."

Hearing such sweet words from him, I could not help but smile at him. He caressed my neck gently before capturing my lips in a sensual kiss.

I felt weak in the knees and my pupils dilated as his lips traveled down to my neck, filling it with kisses. I closed my eyes, moaning as desire filled me.

A memory suddenly came to me and my eyes shot open.

"You have a condom, right?" I panted.

"No, I don't," he whispered. "Don't worry, I'll be caref....."

The words had barely left his mouth when I pushed him away.

"I'm not going to make the same mistakes my sister did," I said sternly.

He stared at me as he tried to catch his breath, "Okay, baby. There's a store just a stone's throw away from here. Wait in here for me while I quickly get it. I'll be back in a jiffy."

I nodded and he kissed me before dashing out of the room. I sighed and sat on his bed. I knew Collins and I would get so much closer after doing the deed because there would be other times too. I just had to be careful so I wouldn't make any mistakes.

A buzzing sound from my phone suddenly caught my attention and I picked up my bag which I had dropped on the bed. I took out my phone and noticed it was a call from my Mom.

"Not now, Mom," I said and put the phone back into my bag without answering. It was not yet eight o clock so I hadn't broken my curfew. I could always apologize later and tell her I was taking care of a school project. However, she called continually until I was forced to answer it on the tenth ring.

I knew I would get an earful when I picked up. Surprisingly, what I heard was my mom's distressed voice saying, "Where are you, Mira? There's been an emergency! Please come home now, we really need you."

"What?" I instantly got up and was about to ask what the problem was when my mom hung up. I picked up my bag and dashed out of the house. Ignoring the surprised stares I was getting, I ran as fast as I could.

My heart was racing and I was so afraid. I had already lost a sister, I could not bear to lose anyone else in my family.

I bumped into Collins on my way and he stared at me in surprise, "What happened, Mira? Where are you running off to?"

I had completely forgotten about Collins and what we were about to do in his bedroom.

"Collins, I..my mom called," I explained. "She said there's an emergency at home and..."

"Liar," he cut me off. "I should have known that you were only playing with my emotions."

I shook my head, "I'm not lying, Collins. I promise I'll be back."

"Keep your promises to yourself and don't come back here," he spat before walking away.
