Chapter Six - Anger

Raya was howling at me to get back up, and her cries and whimpers were all I heard as a black abyss just took over my surroundings. She and I could hear the faint mutters of voices, but our eyes didn't open.

I didn't know how many days or hours I had left in this world, and I had nothing other than my wolf to comfort me. In fact, the thoughts in my head just kept repeating the same word over and over.

Betrayal, it chanted and chanted until the word itself was imprinted in my mind.

I had never heard of a situation where someone marked their mate forcefully, and I might as well have been the first one to be in the situation.

Not only was it a sin to mark your mate forcefully, but it meant that the person who did that had a lack of self-control, and it would reflect badly on the people associated with that particular wolf.
