Almost Made out

Somewhat dazed, she went to the intercom and talked to the front desk, letting them know she was expecting Brett, and while she was still talking, he walked into the lobby. A few moments after that, he was at her door. It was only then that she remembered she was dressed in a sleeveless gown that stopped mid-thigh.

Confused as to the type of impression Brett would get from her appearance. She rushed into her room and reappeared with a black leather jacket which helped to cover up the previously exposed skin on hee upper body.

She went to the door and let him in. Bret stood in the hallway for a long moment, his gaze raking Daisy from her head down to her neatly manicured toes. Daisy on the other hand was equally stunned by his appearance. The way he looked in washed jeans and a T-shirt made her want to undress.

"Hi." He smiled at her.

"Come in." Daisy said, stepping aside.

He stepped in like he was gliding through the floor. He aura magnetic. The smell of his cologne woody and dominating.

"Worth the trip to find you looking this perfect, Daiz." He stepped inside and locked the door behind him. "How are you?"

"Good. Why are you here?" She asked, going straight to the point. Hoping that the reply would be lengthy enough to eradicate the wild thoughts going through her mind.

"Ask me all the questions you have for me Daiz. I'm here because I want to answer all your questions. I don't want you feeling angry while we're out today. I want you to enjoy whatever little time we'll spend together." He replied, taking a seat of his own accord.

Daisy nodded. "There's really nothing else I'd like to know. Unless there's something else you own, connected to me that I still don't know of."

"The Royal crest where your friend lodged, this apartment, the firm you work with, I don't own it, I only own about 68% of the firm."

"You don't own Ugo's law firm, do you."

He shook his head. "No."

"She's no tenant of yours?" Silence. "So she is your tenant. wow!" She folded her arms in surprise.

"Daiz, none of this is my own doing. It's just mere coincidence." He tried to explain.

"So you own half of Fairview." She murmured mostly to herself than to Brett.

"Are you mad at me?" He reduced the distance between them by stepping up to her a bit. Daisy shook her head. "God. You look beautiful, Daiz."

With just those few simple words she became hot and needy. Way too vulnerable. She pulled back, her hand went to her throat, her mind torn between the weirdness of how much he must know about her now.

Brett stepped closer and fingered a curl of her hair. "I'll see you later today?"

There was a dangerous purr to his voice that sent a shiver through Daisy's spin. She felt the warmth of his big, hard body and smell the richly masculine scent of his skin. Without being told, she knew it, she was falling under his spell, deeper with every minute that passed.

"Yes, but I'm a bit worried that people will make assumptions, my mother in particular. She’s already scenting your bachelor blood in the water." She confessed, not a bit worried about how vulnerable she sounded, at least not at the moment.

Lowering his head, Brett pressed his lips into the crook of her neck. "Honestly, I don’t care what people think. We know there's nothing going on between us, right?" She nodded. He took her hand. "If you need me to deal with your mother, I definitely will." He added.

"If you think you can," Daisy said breathlessly, "you don’t know her very well."

"Daiz...." He called in that smooth, silky tone. "Leave that to me. I’ll pick you up at seven." His tongue traced the wildly throbbing vein in her throat and she melted into him, "I'm glad I came, are you?"

"Yes," she whispered. Her body going lax as he pulled her close. Still, she managed to say, "Brett, I don't think this is a good time for this......"

"A good time for what, Daiz?" He cut her short with that deep masculine voice and caught her earlobe between his teeth. "God I've missed you so much. I never thought I could crave for anybody's presence the way I crave for yours." He murmured.

Her legs feeling wobbly and her skin flushed and hot for him, she opened her mouth to protest and he sealed his lips over hers, shutting her up with a lush wet kiss.

His tongue did that slow, savoring licking that made Daisy long to feel him doing the same between her legs. Her hands went to his hair, sliding through it, tugging. When he wrapped his arms around her, she arched, curving into his hands.

Before she realized, he was moving her, his mouth swallowing her surprised gasp. her short gown gave way to his skillful fingers. Somehow, her jacket managed to get on the floor and then he was cupping her breasts, kneading them with soft, rhythmic squeezes.

"Brett....."

"Shh."

He sucked on her lower lip, his fingers rolling and tugging on her tender nipples.

"I was almost going crazy imagining you naked beneath this skimpy dress." He murmured into her mouth.

"You came over without......Oh..... Oh, god......"

Brett's mouth surrounded the tip of her breast, the wash of heat brought a mist of perspiration to her skin. Her gaze darted frantically to the clock on the television stand.

"Brett, no."

His head lifted and he looked at her with those stormy grey eyes and nodded his understanding. He tapped her gently on the shoulder. With one hand, he straightened out her dress and with the other, he drew her lips close and kissed her tenderly, such that it felt like he was trying to reassure her of something.

"Don't bail on me now Daiz. I'll see you by seven." He said searching her face.

Short of words, she nodded.

Brett kissed her hand and in a flash, he was out of her room. Once the door was shut behind him, Daisy released the breath she had been holding all this while.

"What the hell is wrong with me?" She murmured, slumping onto a sofa.
