It was past 8pm when Ash felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He was taking a sip of his coffee in an attempt to calm himself after the nerve-wracking deciphering of code and mysteries he'd done a while ago. And, most of all, he'd decided to take a little break, as he knew he would be partaking in a human chess game sooner or later. He tried to ignore the vibration of his pocket as he thought of a strategy on how to confront Mell and Alexander without them actually suspecting him of his true motive or being insulted by what he was about to do. He really didn't want them to feel offended, as if he were accusing them of a crime wherein he didn't have any concrete evidence.
He didn't want to become as judgmental as the authority.

30 minutes later, Ash heard a series of knocks on his door while he was organizing the documents he'd collected and examined a while ago. He set his laptop on the couch as he stood up and headed towards the door. Ash sighed as he sat down on the bench in the waiting area of New York Penn Station and shoved his bags beside him. He glanced at his wristwatch and checked the time. It's already 7 pm in the evening and still there's no sign of the rest of his group.
