Chapter 7: A She-Wolf Desire

Alpha Bolin was the dark shadow that picked me up from the ground before I passed out in the woods. I continued to walk the hallway. As I kept on remembering, I could see his face becoming clearer.

I want to think that Alpha Bolin cares about me like I care about him; that's why he saved me, but I don't want to end up destroyed again. Alpha Bolin is the pack's leader. His role was to protect us. He didn't save me because he felt anything for me; he saved me just like any Alpha would because it was his job.

As I exited the hospital, I stopped to see Alpha Bolin in the driver's seat of a shiny black car looking at me. His gaze then fell to the envelope hugged between my chest, and I knew why he was there—to make sure I'd taken his money. Upset, I hurriedly walked to his car to tell him I would pay him back, but as I did, he rolled up his window and drove off. I started to run, and I fell to my knees.
