CHAPTER 4. SKITS at THE CELEBRATION PARTY

Dias glanced at the watch in his hand; it was already half past five, which meant he was going home because the time to go home from work was almost half an hour, not to mention that he had to prepare. Dan told Rose that they had to do a play. Although they have not taught each other anymore because it is normal, they haven't been to an event for almost six months, whether it is an official party or indeed an ordinary family party, so they have to match each other. But I don't know what role Dias sometimes plays; he seems comfortable around Rose with all the skits they do. Half an hour passed, and Dias had arrived home. He saw an empty house, looking unoccupied. Not seeing Rose, he rushed into the kitchen and saw their housekeeper.

“Auntie, where is Rose?” asked Dias.

“Ah, it's not that Miss Rose is gone, sir? "Miss Rose was out, rich from going to the boutique, but yes, after that, she hasn't gone home yet,” explained the aunt, and Dias looked speechless. His mind has started to drift everywhere, he doesn't know Rose's way of thinking, the last year he has begun to change to not care too much about Rose, at Vania's request and a year ago too, Rose had a dispute with his mother.  He began to be unable to control and read Rose's mind, and all this time he never knew what was in his wife's heart—not even Rose, his wife. He is not afraid of Rose complaining to Rose's father and mama, but he cannot accept that it is his mother and father who know that he is still in a relationship with Vania.

Not long after, it turned out that Rose had a gift. Dias looked at his wife with a puzzled look.

“Whose gift is it for?” asked Dias.

“Didn't you say there would be an event?" Yes, this gift is for those who celebrate it on their wedding anniversary. "Did you say it?” Rose said it again, glancing at Dias's reaction.

“Ah, yes, but I did intend to prepare it; it's just that the time is not there, so I decided to just give you an envelope.”

“People nowadays don't need envelopes anymore." Money is not everything to them, let alone those who are already rich and own companies like theirs. All they require is that we come as a form of respect and give gifts only as lip service. After all, whatever we give them, they will definitely receive, even if it costs two hundred thousand dollars. "I don't know if it's a social gathering, mothers, but as far as I know, this celebration doesn't need feedback; they just want us to come.” Rose explained at length that Dias could see what his wife meant, but he didn't talk much either; he just followed and would also give her an envelope.

"Yes, you have; I gave you the envelope; you gave the gift; how about it?" "It's the same, isn't it?” Dias offered, and Rose, who was involved, didn't really care about shrugging her shoulders in a sign of indifference.

“May.”

He only answered briefly and then went past Dias' presence without saying a word. makes Dias wonder what's wrong.

“Why are you here?” asked Dias.

“What?” asked Rose back because she knew Dias was not the kind of person who cared for her, whether it was another woman, remembering the word other woman. Rose also remembered her meeting last afternoon, and immediately she looked at Dias. The man was stared at intensely by Rose, making her misbehave.

“What's wrong?” asked Dias.

“I should be the one who asked, What's the matter?" "Something strange,” Rose said, smiling.

“Oh, no.  "It's just that you didn't ask much today; did anyone bother you in the boutique?” asked Dias.

Obviously, Rose replied silently in his heart, "There is," even though he should have screamed and also shouted in front of Dias. But he was reluctant to do it because he thought it was a waste of energy.

“Nothing, what's the matter?" Something strange—you ask me about my daily life in the boutique, even to the point of caring about things that bother me? Or are you actually the one who is disturbed?” asked Rose, making Dias frown.

“What do you mean?" "I'm trying to care," Dias explained that he didn't accept it even though he was actually worried that Rose was bullied by Vania or that Vania was making trouble. He knows the nature of his lover and also knows how Rose is, despite sometimes not being able to read his mind.

“Nothing.  As usual, Dias We got married not for love; I'm sure you're sick of me, and neither am I. "There is no need to pretend because I will never interfere with your private life.” Rose also seemed to waltz into the bathroom and prepare to clean up instead of having a conversation with Dias that made her feel numb.

Dias looked at Rose, who went with her back to him very casually. All this time Rose was just silent, or else he asked where Dias went, why he came back late, or deliberately started a conversation. And two years ago too, until the past year, he began to seem indifferent, although every so often he still liked to offer help, such as making breakfast, giving provisions, and so on. But, these past few months, Rose didn't seem to see her anymore; even when her mother's house had an event, even when her sister-in-law was grateful for four months, she was late and excused a lot of work. Even on mom and dad's wedding anniversary, Rose didn't come at all, until Dias was the one who invited her and ended up arguing with her mama. I don't know what he meant. Dias believes Rose deliberately planned this, but for what?

Dias also prepared, and finally, they finished together; Dias used the bathroom in his study, and Rose went to their room. After finishing, they rushed to the party because it was half past seven. It didn't feel like they came home too late, even though they had set the time.

“Already?” asked Dias. Rose just nodded, and she opened the car door for Rose. Rose sneered inwardly: "Your acting is too good."

“Thank you”

Rose also sat in the back with Dias; they deliberately used a driver. There was no conversation; only a puff of breath was heard. Until thirty minutes later, they had not arrived.

“I'm the one who opens; you just wait first,” said Dias. Rose just nodded.

“Thank you,” Rose did not forget to reply, because for him, Dias was just a mere act... So, he needed to give Dias a hundred marks for acting because he deserved to be an actor. Otherwise, how he cheated on Rose for five years is unknown to anyone, except himself, because for Rose, it is not Dias's ugly acting, but Rose is more conscientious.

“Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Angara,” continued the host when they saw that it was Dias and Rose who came.

“Thank you,” Dias retorted.

“Thank you,” Rose continued.

“You are a good match; I wish you happiness until old age,” said the host's wife.

“Let's hope so,” Dias replied with a knotted smile.

“Probably not, if one of us died first,” Rose joked, to which the couple responded, but not Dias, who looked questioningly at his wife.

As for Rose, she smiled briefly at the happy couple celebrating their wedding, and again her eyes saw the surprised look of a woman whom she met earlier in the afternoon at her boutique. The woman immediately cast her eyes away, and Rose looked at Dias, who looked at her intensely, while Rose put a question mark face on her husband.

“What's the matter?" "Do you want to mingle with your friends?” asked Rose, and hearing that, the middle-aged couple excused themselves and told Rose and Dias to enjoy the party comfortably and leisurely. They greeted another guest again.

“Ah, do you want to come along?” asked Dias, offering.

“No, it's just you." "I want to go to the restroom for a while,” she said, and let go of Dias's hand and his hand. Soon he passed, and Dias still looked at the back until it disappeared.

After Rose disappeared from his sight, Dias was also surprised to see Vania smiling at him. Soon, Dias observed around, to be able to meet Vania even for a moment. And all that did not go unnoticed by a pair of eyes directed towards him.
