Chapter 15

Arabella's point of view

I breathe out in relief, then turned to Arthur after a few minutes.

"He said you should invite me inside for dinner and I happen to be particularly hungry" he touched his stomach to prove his words. "Aren't you gonna invite me in?" he asked.

"Never" I growled in his face.

He stared at my face for a very brief moment, then laughed and shook his head.

"She's scared of what I might say in there" he voiced my thoughts.

"What are you doing here? Didn't Daphne tell you and mom I'm okay?" I asked, changing the topic quickly.

He coughed lightly to clear his throat, tucked his hands in his pockets and kept a straight face.

"You can't blame me for coming here and I never wanted to come, mom forced me" he answered.

I scoffed.

"Liar, I could hear your very loud voice from inside"

He was ready to tear this place down if I didn't come out, yeah I know he's no match for Wymond but I don't think he would have given up so easily -now he's denying he wasn't here for me.
