"As I mentioned, they rebelled against the authority. They fought against the our Clan for years. But one day, they just mysteriously disappeared."
"Disappeared? Did all of them die? Or, maybe they were killed by some mysterious disease?" Team asked as he frowned in confusion. He felt like his head was hurting from all the information he's digesting. He felt like he was trapped in an infinite loop.
"No. They didn't die. In fact, no one knows if they're dead or not. The ones recorded in the Authority library is that, they just mysteriously vanished into thin air."
"The Authority record?" All four of them repeated Seth statement, as if they couldn't believe what they were hearing with their ears.
"Yes. The authority record. Unfortunately, this incident with the Fairy Clan was not known by its original name. Their group was recorded as the Wild Hunt."
"Thi—this is ridiculous! The Wild Hunt are a bunch of wild hunters and rebels in the remote part of Wis—"Team stopped abruptly as he realized what he was about to say.
"Shit! Shit! They got us. The—the Wild Hunt—"
"Are the hunters that came from Wausau, Wisconsin." Simon continued Team statement for him.
"And apparently, the Wild Hunt were recorded as the group of mysterious people who were so cut off from the society. It was so hard to get their cooperation, and when they finally shared some information, their statements were always . . . cryptic." Rose decided to voice out her thoughts as well.
"Yes. It was the group's doctrine to never tell a lie. But just because they are telling the truth doesn't mean getting the truth from them was an easy task. You needed to ask them the right questions if you wanted to get the right answer. And before you were enlightened with the truth, you had to first pass the challenge they gave you." Simon continued voicing out his thoughts as his mind tried to remember all the information they studied about the Wild Hunt.
"And the challenge is to find the truth behind their testimonials. They didn't lie about anything, but they gave you a twisted truth as an answer. Which, coincides with the Faeries' characteristics. They don't lie, but they give you the twisted truth. It's up to you to figure it out." Seth concluded as he released a heavy sigh to relieve some stress from this serious conversation. He actually felt proud that he was finally being of help to his colleagues. This time Ash was not the only one unraveling all the mind blowing mysteries. His expertise and passion for fantasies, anime and manga helped him solve a case in real life.
He was finally proving to everybody that he's not living in a world of dreams, the world of fantasies. Fantasy is always paired up with reality. Scratch that, fantasy is a version of another reality. It cannot be separated, nor destroyed. Or else the balance and symmetry of all things will be destroyed.
But, he had to admit, he wished he wouldn't be continuously solving riddles and codes. Because the process of doing it was also blowing his head into pieces. The entire time he tried to put the pieces together, he felt as if his mind went numb and literally blown up by the explosive twists and truths he uncovered. If it weren't for Ash guiding him step by step in interpreting and organizing the bits and pieces of ideas he discovered, he wouldn't be able to picture the entire scene.
It made him respect and commend Ash more for his gifted talent and elite skills. He was truly a genius.
Suddenly, he heard Simon' skeptical but cute voice that made him turn away his focus from his thoughts.
"But there is just one thing that's been bugging me, Seth. The Wild Hunt didn't hold any crest, and we didn't know for sure why they never lie. And they just disappeared suddenly, like, 20 or 30 years ago, no one really knows. I cannot see the reason why they would reappear out of the blue, after such a long period of hiding."
"Simon, did you notice that any missing information between the two groups was being supplied by the other one? The pieces are falling into their places . No offense to the past elite Authority who handled the Wild Hunt case years ago, but I—I think we managed to supply the missing pieces and completed the Wild Hunt case. The missing pieces and important bits of information which was lacking from their report, we managed to retrieve it—"
"And besides, this is just my theory, but I think—I think that the reason the Fairy Clan, or the Wild Hunt suddenly disappeared is because they were recruited by the Black Clan. And they are just appearing right now because they finally have enough power to go against the our Clan and have their revenge."
"And the last bit of information I can give to you, is that we know where the Black, or the four prisoners we caught once, are traveling to. We know about the location those prisoners mouthed when they saw us a while ago." The four of them fell silent as they tensed slightly at the thought of this inevitable confrontation. They were looking intently at Seth as they were anxiously waiting for his answer.
"Where is it?"
"At the Grand Gentlemen's Club." The moment those words slipped out on Seth tongue, the four of them looked at him as if he'd lost his mind.
"Grand what?"
"Grand Gentlemen's Club, a gay stripping club located at 861 Grand Ave, Schofield, WI 54476. In which, coincidentally, is part of the former location where the villagers became victims to the Authority siege."
Everyone gasped in shock as their mouths hung wide open, forming a big, deep "O" as everything finally clicked together. The room was filled with deadly silence and tension as they let their mind picture the whole image as they gathered the pieces of information together.
Seth was startled when he felt a light weight on his shoulder. He tilted his head and saw Ash wearing a smile with gentleness in his electrifying deep eyes. His inside melted as he felt proud for the very first time, even though Ash would never speak his thoughts verbally, he knew that he was congratulating him on a job well done. He nodded in understanding and finally took a step back to give way for him.
Now that he was done with his report and role, it was time for Ash to take over the crown.
It was time for him to speak about their strategy for their infiltration mission.
"And that's why I wanted you to be back by 4pm. Well, technically, it's past 4 pm now." The four of them nearly jumped as they were startled by Ash voice looming in. Ash muttered an apology as he and Seth reached out for some water which was placed on the table and drank it. Ash decided not to talk for a while as he let them digest all the information while calming the erratic beating of their hearts. It wasn't until a few minutes later that Team started speaking when they were remotely relaxed and ready to continue the discussion."Okay. So we finally . . . uhm, we finally figured out our current situation. Since you decided to take over the spotlight, I'm sure you've already formulated some strategies for our mission tonight, right?" Team said as he stared at his bestfriend and gave him a knowing look, which Ash returned by nodding. Their bestfriend bond was deep enough to know what the other was thinking and it enables them to communicate their thoughts mentally.
Ash knew Team was doing his best to keep his cool as they proceeded with the discussion about this mission. He hated it when he gets emotional in front of his teammates. Ash chose to let go and accept Team reply, not wanting his bestfriend to go through the emotional torture once again."This time, our main mission is to infiltrate the club, to know the truth behind the Fairy history. We are there to confirm if the information we got is indeed true, as well as their association with the Black Clan. And lastly, once we've confirmed everything, we need to interrogate them about the mystery note, as well as the Black Clan plans. Got it?" All of them nodded in understanding as they got the information of their mission for the night."But Ash, how do we infiltrate the club? If we're correct in our assumption that this is the Fary Clan, or the former Wild Hunt's den, then I think they will be prepared for any intrusion or attack from the author
"Tsk. We don't really have any choice, do we? But that's fine. I love being a badass, anyway. And I'll be badass enough to kick their asses and punch them so hard in the face they'll see stars." Team said as he crossed his arms over his chest and gave them a cocky smirk. All of them huffed in annoyance while Ash just rolled his eyes and ignored his bestfriend witty statement."Anyway, we needed to engrave the Fairy Clan symbol into one of our clothes, so I had Seth add some details to the sweaters we'll be wearing tonight. We will pretend that we're one of them who were in club last time. Well, technically we were there, but with a different identity. We will also tell them what happened in club, the person who were "captured" by the warri, and the mystery note of the Balck Clan.""Wait! I don't like that we need to share some sensitive information to our own enemy! We're the ones who tried hard and kicked our own asses just to solve the
"Alexander, I-I want Alexander to just stay here and guard the apartment." All of them widened their eyes and gasped in shock as they stared at him like he'd gone insane. Alexander, on the other hand, just raised his eyebrows questioning."Ash, do you really expect me to just stay here and do nothing when I came all the way here for you? While all of you, and especially you Ash, are out somewhere risking your life during a dangerous mission?""That's precisely why I cannot let you come with us on this mission, Alexander. It's because it's too dangerous. For one, you're a civilian. I know you've already done too much for this group, and we, no, I-will be forever grateful for that. But we cannot risk you anymore, please understand that as a warrior, it is our duty to keep you safe as much as possible. Plus, you're not really useless if you choose to stay here. You can guard this apartment, in case someone might get suspicious of
It took less than 5 minutes for them to get to the rumored and popular gay stripping club. The five of them walked down the streets until they stood in front of Grand Gentlemen's Club. Everytime they heard the name of the club, they couldn't help but tense up and a tight knot could be felt in the pit of their stomach. They felt rather awkward hearing that kind of name for a club as well. But that was not the only thing that was making them sweat like crazy and feel the erratic beating of their heart as they stood in front of the club's door.Unlike most of the clubs Rose and Team had known, this one was unbelievably quiet. They couldn't hear any noise coming from inside. Nor could they see any drunk, intoxicated and horny people coming to and from the club. They couldn't see the wonderful neon lights that flashed everywhere, bringing the party ambiance and color to the club.Instead, what they saw in
The first thing they noticed inside the club was that, the entire place was covered in darkness. They blinked to adjust their eyes from the change in environment and from then on they could see some candle lights placed in torch-like lamps on either side of the hallway. The walls were painted black, causing it to blend with the surroundings. Their shoes, especially Rose long stiletto heels were reverberating loudly in the emptiness as they walked through the hallway. All of them widened their eyes as they recognised the paintings that hung on either side of the wall. The paintings were full of faeries, fantasies, even fallen angels, and the war that happened between the archangels, with the lead of Michael overthrowing Lucifer. Basically, all of the paintings portrayed histories, folks, and tales about the faeries. At the end of the hallway was a heavy locked door and at the side there was a man sitting behind a desk, who Seth assumed was the recept
"A pleasure to meet you, Fey newbies. I will now be escorting you towards M. Robe. Welcome to the club." The man said as he bowed to them for some courtesy. Even though they were technically newbies, they were still guests in this club. Only then the group got a first glimpse of what the inside of the club looked like. Like a typical club, it was a total wreck. Bright and flashing neon lights were scattered everywhere. The dance floor was like an abused chess board. On its black and white squares were spilled drinks and broken glass. With the lights lit for clean up the whole scene that had most likely seemed so exciting and sexual only minutes before now had all the ambiance of a dirty toilet. The painted on smiles of the staff were now sagged into the epitome of exhaustion and no-one could wait for the night to end. But the clothes the of the night clubbers wore here were very different from typical ones. Their features and appearances made them look like fan
Finally, Seth decided to break the deadly silence by reasoning with the girl in front of him."Bu-but that's impossible! M. Robeis a man, not a girl. That's why the name is M. Robe. It stands for Mr. Roberts." Seth argued but the girl just rolled her eyes in annoyance and scoffed at him."Are you really that naïve? My name is M. Robe. M stands for May. And the system in every clan is to only use their last name. Unless you're a member of the upper echelons, then you have authority to be addressed by your first name." The girl, who finally revealed herself as May Robe, or May, explained."Even better! Are you cheating behind my back, you dumbass!" Team roared as he glared at Seth."What! Of course I'm not! You are not my boyfriend idiot! It's true! I really didn't know that Robe was a girl! I-""Oh please shut the fuck up and quit making excuses! You're going to be so dead you bastard!" Te
