Chapter 22
Kallan was swift in his movements, leaving me feel oddly alone as I watched his hand wrap almost fully around Ro’s throat, lifting him slightly from the ground so only his toes carried his weight. My body felt uncomfortable as Kallan's anger radiated higher, and my brain was still trying to catch up to what was happening. Ro's eye's refused to land on me as he snapped his vision to the ground and just accepted his fate.
“Tell me why I shouldn’t snap your Beta’s neck?” Kallan's voice was booming and loud, as he stared directly at Theo, “His scent is all over my mate.”

Octavia's POVI woke up in the morning afraid to move or breathe too heavily, but I couldn't smell Kallan's scent. As I slowly opened my eyes and sat up, I discovered I was alone, I guess Kallan hadn't slept here overnight which stirred an odd feeling of sadness in me, but I pulled myself up and together for the day.
