"I'm not mad Lily, I know that this is all too much and I will give you all the time you need." He said, giving me a gentle smile.
His smile and words melted the anxiety and doubts coating my heart. I shook my head and patted the spot where he was sitting earlier. He looked confused but still sat in front of me again, our knees touching.
I lowered my head and fiddled with my hands. "Th-this is all overwhelming for m-me but I t-trust you. I-I really do." I paused and looked at him, his blue eyes comforting me. "Y-you will not hurt me r-right?" I choked, my vision blurred from the tears falling from my eyes.
He gently wipes my tears and cups my face. "My Angioletto. I will never hurt you, I will always protect and care for you. You already own me since the day you saved my life." He said, his eyes and voice filled with sincerity.
