Fucking Khalid. He had to have known what that damn talisman would do. That the talisman would prevent me from being able to touch Isis. That is, it would prevent John from touching Sarael. ‘Sneaky little shithead.’ Godric snorted. 

At least Isis has agreed to not wear it. I know that if we were attacked, it could be helpful to keep people like Noya from being able to touch them.

But the fact it dampens her connection with Bastet is more worrying. Bastet is strong, and her gifts can get Isis out of danger in a blink of an eye.

As we looked at the lights on the map, I could feel Godric’s agitation and thirst for blood. Glaring at the three lights in Egypt, knowing these people turned a blind eye to how Sakina treated Isis.
