A WEEK LATER...
I have been in this freaking mansion for a week, and I would literally do anything just to work at the club to get the hell out of here, but since I won't even speak to Alek, there's no way he will let me. Plus, he's afraid I’ll run.
I stood from the bed and went down to the kitchen. To my surprise, Alek is here instead of his new goon to watch me. And by the way, he was almost as much of an asshole as Damon was.
Alek glanced up from whatever he was writing, and his eyes followed me across the kitchen. I glared in his direction, then rolled my eyes.
My outfit of choice was an oversized sweater that slumped off my shoulder. And I completely forgot to put on shorts because I thought Alek would have left already.
I bent down awkwardly, trying to grab the juice.
“Why the hell are you bending like that?” Alek starred, confused. “Are you broken?”
Straightening, the annoyance evident on my face. “Not giving you a free show,” I retorted.
Alek lifted his brow, curiously. “You’re not wearing pants?”
With an icy glare that I wish would dagger him in the heart, I turned away from him. “I’m not talking to you,” I shouted over my shoulder.
When I pulled the juice out of the fridge and turned around, I found myself inches from Alek as he stared down at me. Lust filled his eyes. Even though this man has ruined my life, I can't help the way he makes my body feel. It’s like I lose all control over myself. My body literally aches for his touch, but I have to stay strong and true to my vow.
“Can I help you?” I asked, my expression serious.
Alek brushes a strand of hair from my face. “Are you offering?” A smirk playing on his lips.
“Offering what?”
His eyes go down to his junk, and I give him a deadpan look. “You are disgusting,” I said, going around him to grab a glass from the cupboard.
Alek wrapped his large hand around my waist, pulling me back to him, and the juice dropped to the floor, bursting open splattering all over us. I gasped at the cold liquid now covering me.
Alek gripped my thighs, lifting me on the counter and spreading my legs for him to fit in between. “So thirsty,” He whispered as he pulled my head back by my hair and his mouth devoured my luscious skin, which was soaked from the juice.
I wasn't able to control my moans as his tongue traced my neck. My core throbbed, wanting more. “Mm.”
As I gasp from pleasure, Alek moves upward to my jaw, then to the corner of my mouth and my lips part as heavy breaths escaped. His mouth found mine. Our tongues are entangled. My brain forces my hands to feel his muscular frame, and his hands trail across my bare breast. He takes my nipple between his fingers, twisting it softly. I arched my back and my core rubbed against his bulge, sending my hormones into a frenzy. His mouth muffled my moans from our lips still connected.
“Boss?” Drake said.
Pulling away quickly, I cover myself by pulling my sweater back down. Then I realized I fell for his stupid charm. I got pissed. “UGH!” I hissed, shoving him back, then jumped off the counter and stormed off.
After I went back to my room, I changed, then paced back and forth in the room. "What the hell were you thinking?" I argued with myself aloud. I'm pissed at myself for falling for his damn trap. He is not the one for me, but why does my body call for him? What's wrong with me? I'm startled out of my thoughts by a knock on the door. "What?" I shouted, still very irritated.
The door opened, revealing Alek. "Get ready. We are leaving in twenty." He ordered and walked out.
"Ugh, this man!" I said, infuriated.
After getting dressed, I came downstairs to meet Alek. As I walked down the stairs, my eyes fell on Alek. Instead of his standard black tee, he wore a black suit with a white undershirt, and his little bow tie made him look adorable. He adjusted his cufflinks while he eyed me.
“What’s the occasion?” I asked.
He lifted his brow. “You’ll see.” He pursed his lips.
“Really not going to tell me?”
He shook his head no. “Nope.”
“Well, I feel a bit underdressed now.” I declared, looking over myself. His smirk appeared. “What?”
Alek handed me a box with a bow that he had been holding behind his back. “Now you won’t”
I scrunched my brows together. “What’s this for?”
“Go change. I'll wait.” He replied, gesturing for the upstairs.
A smile formed on my lips. “Okay.” I agreed and ran back up the stairs.
Entering the room, I quickly pulled open the box, revealing a black lacey dress. After I got over how beautiful it was, I placed it on. It hugged every curve and sculpted to my figure.
I pulled my long brown hair out of the bun and let it fall down my back, loosening up my natural curls and, with the finishing touch of clear heels, I glanced at myself in the mirror. "Not bad for a girl from the suburbs." I gave myself a wink and headed back to Alek.
Coming down the stairs, Alek glanced up, and his expression was like a deer in the headlights. I stopped halfway down. "What?"
Alek's brow lifted, and he slowly shook his head in disbelief. His eyes trailed down my body while he bit at the corner of his lip. "Wow."
"That's all you got mafia man?" I asked, cocking my head in question while placing my hand on my hip.
"There is no way to describe your beauty," He confessed.
My cheeks burned red. Alek walked to the bottom of the stairs, holding out his hand to help me off the last step. As I stepped down, I glanced at him. How can this man scare you to your core yet is so charming and sexy? Plus passionate. He's like hard candy on the outside, but once you get to the middle, he is gooey inside.
I am fighting every bit of me not to let him have me, but it's so hard my soul even wants him.
"You ready?" He asked, looking at me from the corner of his eye.
I smiled, looking at the arm he held out for me to grab. "Yeah." I intertwined my hand around his bicep and we walked to the car.
We pulled into a fancy restaurant in downtown LA. Alek came around, opened my door, and helped me out.As we entered, a friendly server approached. “Mr. Nabokav, welcome. We have your usual table.”A smile formed on my lips, and a giggle almost escaped me.“Don’t even,” Alek whispered as we followed the server.I pretended to zip my lip. “Your secret is safe with me.”Alek chuckled under his breath. At the table, Alek pulled out my chair, and I accepted. Then he sat across from me.“What can I get you to drink?” The server asked, looking between the two of us.“Whiskey,” Alek answered.I looked up from the menu at the server. “The same.”Alek lifted a brow. “You sure?”“I’m not as innocent as you think.” And I nodded for the
NEXT DAY...Walking down the stairs ready for the day, I find myself alone, except for my bodyguard, or should I say, prison guard. Drake sat at the table, reading something on his phone.“Where is Alek?” I asked.Drake looked up. “He had a meeting.”“How am I going to get to the club?” I questioned.Drake grinned. “Me sweetheart.”The way he looked at me gave me creeper vibes.Annoyed, I glare at him. “It’s Bristol,” I stated with my hand on my hip.“Whatever hotcakes,” Drake laughed, looking back at his phone.Anger bubbled up. I slammed my hand on the counter. “I said my name is Bristol!” I shouted, repeating myself. He stood. “Watch it. That pretty little mouth shouldn’t talk like that. I have a few ideas about how I should be used.”&
It stunned Alek for a second, but quickly comprehended what I said. His lips forcefully smashed into mine. His hands cupped my face as he deepened our kiss. Alek tasted so good. I wanted him to ravish every part of me. We pulled apart, breathless. "I want you so damn bad," Alek whispered as he placed his forehead against mine. "Then do it. Take me now Alek," I teased. There was a rumble in his chest when he gripped the back of my thighs and lifted me to straddle him. He held me effortlessly as he walked towards the hall. "No, I can't wait. I want you now," I said with urgency. Alek slammed me against the wall, and I wrappe
The other bartender made my drinks, and I returned to the table, unsure what I was getting myself in the middle of. “Here you go, four whiskeys,” I placed the drinks down and left, but the man’s voice stopped me. “Why in such a rush?” He asked. Turning back to him, I smiled politely. “I have to check on my tables. I’ll be back to check on you in a few,” I said and turned to leave, but the man grabbed my wrist. Instantly his hand was ripped off me and I was placed behind Alek. The man and Alek glared at each other. “What? Not happy to see an old friend?” the man’s lip curved into a grin. He leaned back against the booth, placing his hands on the top.
Alek stared at me with admiration in his eyes. “Why would you risk your life for me? I stole yours, remember?” I thought over his words for a second. “You may have changed my life, but you didn’t steal it. You saved it.” Baffled, he stared blankly, not sure what to say to those words, and placed the car in drive, then took off. We pulled off onto the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. It was dark. The only light came from the half-moon perched up in the sky. Alek put the vehicle in park and glanced at me. “Stay here,” he ordered. When I tried to argue, he pressed his plump lips to mine in a passionate kiss like this could be the last I see of him, and that made my insides go anxious at the
Smoked trailed up from the barrel of the pistol. Three of Gianni’s goons laid lifeless on the cold cement floor. Now I had an aim at Gianni.Alek stared at me out of the corner of his eye, stunned. “Where the hell did you learn to shoot like that?”I shrugged. “It runs in the family.”Gianni stood there in disbelief, wondering how a young girl like me could take out three of his best men, but then held his hands up in defeat. “Hey now, let’s not be hasty.”I glared at him. “Oh right, and you were just friendly as pie telling your men to gun down Alek and kidnap me?” I snapped. “Take your bullshit to someone else that believes it!” I spat.
My head fell on Alek's shoulder as I hugged his body tight. His hand found mine, and he squeezed it. "I love you." His voice was faint."SOMEONE CALL THE DOCTOR NOW!" I screamed, frantically looking around.Kevin pulled out his phone quickly and dialed the mafia doctor while I tried to keep Alek awake."Please, you have to keep your eyes open. Stay with me." I pleaded while my eyes turned into Niagara falls. What felt like hours was only minutes when the doctor arrived."Excuse me, make way," The doctor said, walking through the sea of people surrounding us.As my attention went towards the doctor, I caught sight of a familiar face in the crowd, trying to slip away. I knew who caused this. With my arms wrapped around Alek, I looked up at the doctor. "Help him, please," I begged."I will do everything I can."I nodded, wiping the tears from my face, and picked up the gun next to A
My hands gripped the steering wheel as I sped down the freeway. As I pulled into the back alley, I quickly got out running inside, not caring to check if the car was even in park. Out of breath, I looked around at everyone who sat in the waiting area. "Bristol!" Kevin yelled, getting up from his seat to run over to me. "Where is he?" I asked frantically. "Still in with the doc," Kevin answered, unsure what else to say. "What's happening? The doctor called me said to hurry," I said, running my hands over my face, feeling overwhelmed. Kevin looked over my appearance for a moment, noticing my Drake sprinkled face, and his eyes went to my soaked clothes. "Are you hurt?" I shook my head. "No, it's not my blood." My body trembled; I felt like I was on crack, and Alek was my drug. I just needed to know what was going on. "I want to see Alek." I walked past when Kevin grabbed my arm gently.
