Seventy Four.

Blue

My heart was in my stomach as he quietly walked away.

We need to tell Jaxon. Blue, he is going to be trouble for all of us.

I nod my head in agreement. I knew she was right, but would Jaxon believe me?

The house is quiet as I slip back inside. Quietly making my way back up the stairs, Jaxon is fast asleep on the bed. His arm wrapped around a pillow in place of me.

“Jaxon?” I whisper trying to shake him awake. He just pulls the pillow closer.

“Jaxon?” His eyes flash open as he quickly sits up.

“Blue, is everything okay?”

“I need to talk to you about Jack!”

He rubs his eyes as he yawns. “What’s up?”

“He wants me!”

“I figured as much. I think that he thinks you and him have a connection because you have both been through the same thing.”

“I like Jack, but not like that.”

He studies me with his sleepy eyes. “It sounds like he has misread your kindness for something else.”

I didn’t know what else to say. Jack had been nice to me. When Jaxon was irritating me, Jack was always the voice
