I went on to tell James everything that Selene had told me and by the end of it, he didn't say a word. His jaw was clenched tightly and his fingers tightened on my waist.
”Please say something,” I asked quietly as I placed a hand on his cheek.
He leaned into my touch and I breathed out in relief.
”Was that what happened earlier, was that Xena and you syncing?”

~Avery~ When I looked back, I saw everyone sound asleep, what made my heart stop for a second, was that I saw myself asleep too.
