The air around felt heavier than what Jessica’s lungs could handle; witnessing the fight before her eyes. She felt the ground crumble under her feet. She wished for it to crumble so that she would disappear from the surface

This must be a nightmare, and she needed someone to pinch her cheek so she could wake up and find herself lying in her bed inside her apartment.

But it was impossible, she was aware of it, she was aware that she was caught up in this storm and nothing seemed promising of a happy ending.
