CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY EIGHT

JESSICA

I kept checking my wrist. We were finally done with our exams, and it was time to go home. My teacher wouldn't even let us go home, even though we were already done with our papers for the day.

The students were grumbling and whispering curse words against the teacher. No one was interested in what he had to say. I could see some of my classmates sleeping already. I was impressed because I was not the only person who was angry about the fact that he would not let us go home even after our final exams.

I hissed and stretched out on my seat. I placed my hands over my mouth and yawned loudly.

He was finally done talking. He walked away with the exam papers. We were all excited that he finally left. Some picked up their bags and began walking out of the classroom.

Others stayed behind, talking in low tones, laughing, and also catching up.
