Chapter 18: My Husband Was The Client He Was Talking About?!

He had a bunch of work to do. On my own estimation, I bet I've been standing here for quite an hour now, assisting him to sign the papers while I flip it all over. It's not that I was complaining; I did this back then to our manager, who was kind of busy as well.

"Livia," he called out my name in a low tone.

I jolted in shock and stood up straight. "Yes—I mean, sir?"

He took a deep breath and put down the pen. "It's lunch. You can go eat at the cafeteria."

My eyes widened. "Is the lunch free?"

"Yeah."

Since I got late, I immediately got my bag, which was on top of the table, and was on my way outside when I froze on my location as Ajax's words ceased me.

"You're coming out right away?" he asked, hoisting his eyebrows.

I blinked my eyes thrice. I was about to put my bag back on the top of the table when he spoke.

"No need. Just take your break and be sure to come back at 1:30. I’ll be having an important meeting back then."
