Chapter 23- First day at work

Chloe's POV

The next morning, I went to work after spending some time with my daughter. She was crying when I left, and I felt guilty for leaving her. I knew that Marian would watch her, but she was not used to being away from me. But I needed to work too.

The day went well, and I didn't really see Mister Parson for almost the whole day. It was when I was about to go home that I saw him.

I was just going out of my office, and I met him coming out of his. Our eyes met, and I shot him a polite smile.

"Good day, Mister Parson."

"Good day, Miss Summers. How was your first day?"

"It went very well." I answered politely, and he nodded to himself.

"Are you done for today?" He asked, checking his wrist watch for the time.

"Yes."

"Oh. I forgot you were part time." He smiled, revealing the dimples in his cheeks, and I thought he was cute at that moment. "Did you come with a car?"

"I boarded a taxi."

"Do you mind if I drop you home? I was just about leaving as well. I am done with my work today.
