That day was the last time when I saw my father for one last time, smiling, laughing, carefree, hugging me, kissing my mother goodbye like it was a kiss for an eternity, making false promises to see us again without any of us realizing the irony of the situation we were in.

I saw dad riding on his horse along with Mr. Forbes next to him and soon he disappeared in the morning fog. We all were positive that my father would return soon but the days passed into weeks and then months, we didn’t receive a single news about their whereabouts, it was starting to worry my mother although she was putting the act infront of us but I knew how much worried she was, our business started suffering in the absence of our father and it was about time for me to step in as the elder son of the family, to look after my family in the absence of my father, this new commitment started affecting my relations
