“You might not be my therapist, and I might not meet you.” Mariko felt cringed at what she just heard.

“Will you stop that nonsense? It makes me cringe.” She shook her body as he looked at him with disgust.

Marcus rolled his eyes, “fine. I was just trying to fool you. But I guess that didn’t work.” Marcus said, which made her snort.

“Do you think I will buy those sweet nothings of you?” she sneered. “I won’t fall for it… It’s kind of disgusting, dude. So, you better not make a move.” She raised her eyebrow.

Marcus winced. “Why are you here?” he asked, trying to change the topic.

“I just want to check on you.” She shrugged. “Now that you can walk now, maybe you don’t need me anymore.”

Marcus shook his head. “I still need you. Be my driver. I still can’t drive, you know.” he reasoned.

‘Right. I still need to be with him until they find out who was trying to kill them and keep on sending death threats.’ She thought.
