Ivy
His fingers slipped inside my shorts while his naked body pressed down on mine. Skin to skin touching, the warm, masculine scent—a concoction of leather, bourbon and cedar wood, seeped into my senses.
“You really can’t hide from me,” he whispered in my ear as his deft fingers pushed through my wet folds and found their way inside me.
“Oh…” I moaned, my fingers curling into his curls as he pushed his finger deeper and deeper inside me.
“See? You want me…” I bit my lip hard as he pulled at my lobe. “Then why do you keep fighting me?”
“Don’t to…touch me…” I groaned, not meaning a single syllable.
“I can pleasure you like no one can,” I was close, his fingers hitting all the right spots.
“I can make you scream…”
“Please…stop,” I moaned.
“I can fuck you like no one ever has…” So close…I was so so close.
“You know why…?”
“Asher…” I clenched his hair tighter as he pushed me closer and closer to the edge.
“Because I am your…mate,” and I exploded all over his hand the moment that word left his mouth.
“No!” I sat up straight, my heart slamming in my chest while sweat covered my forehead and trickled down my back underneath my flimsy white t-shirt.
“What the fuck,” I groaned, rubbing my face.
“Well, that was quite a dream,” Silver prompted.
“It was you, wasn’t it?” I scowled, feeling annoyed and disgusted. I can’t believe I had a wet dream about a man I practically hated. I never had a wet dream, at least not one where I actually came. The stickiness between my legs was more than enough evidence that the orgasm I had…that wasn’t a dream. That was very real.
“No, I did nothing. It was all you,” she replied breezily. “You can’t hide your innermost desires and you desire Alpha Asher Gray, like it or not.”
“I don’t desire that asshole,” I grimaced, taking a sip of water from the bottle on the side table.
“It’s okay. He is your mate…how could you not?” she said. “And he is drool worthy, you have to accept that,”
“Goddess! It’s too early in the morning!” I hissed, annoyed by my wolf but also by the man, who not only stumbled out of nowhere into my life to make things even harder for me, but was now also haunting my dreams. And even in my dream, my dream, he was so damn egoistic and full of himself. It was annoying. A slight knock on the door distracted me from the sour mood after my very erotic dream.
“Yes?” I grumbled.
“It’s me. Breakfast is about to be served. Come out quick,” Naya shouted.
I blinked and glanced at the clock, surprised to see that it was past seven thirty in the morning. I never stay in bed so late. I usually wake up early and then workout or go for a jog. There were miles and miles of lands to explore around the vast GrayCrest territory, so there was no shortage of forbidden paths and hidden creeks to explore. It helps me clear my mind and try to figure out a game plan I needed to escape Killian’s clutches. Though so far I had…nothing.
“Will be there in ten,” I called out, quickly climbing down the bed and heading for the small in-suite bathroom.
I stayed with the delta family because the warriors and hunters were all men and lived in dorms beside the omega shelters. And I wasn’t welcomed there. They hated me because I was the only female warrior in an army of men covered head to toe in an unhealthy male ego. They thought too highly of themselves, but that all went to hell when I beat them to pulp.
In their spare time, when not training or running errands, they would mock and torment the omegas and tease the young females. Nobody dared complain though, especially with Graham, the motherfucking leader of the warriors around. They scared the living daylights out of the poor omegas. Even though I tried to encourage them to speak up, they brushed me off because I was a stranger and everyone was wary of me.
The omegas actually held these bastards in high regard because they were strong and powerful and fought with their lives to protect them. I couldn’t see that as a reason to allow shitty behavior from them, but if they were okay with that, why should I bother? I had enough on my plate and enough enemies within the pack to make more.
The warriors also despised me because of the first night I spent at the dorm when Graham had the nerve to ask me to strip and be his mistress if I wanted to be a part of the warriors. I almost broke his nose in response. The fucker already had a mate, Tessa, one of the Elder’s daughters, but was still hunting after every other girl like a dog. That incident started a feud between the two of us turning him and all the warriors against me.
Realizing how quickly things had gone south, Eli had offered me shelter at his place, even if I had to share the room with Naya. Last night, Graham was there at the party, so I was pretty sure he pushed me into the lake. It was his voice I heard behind me.
And if I was right, I will make him pay for that.
After a quick shower, I dressed in track shorts and a cami top, ready for our morning training session. I tied my hair into a braid, slipped on my shoes, and gave myself a final glance in the mirror. I looked like I always do…simple.
“You are pretty in an…underrated sort of way,” Silver commented.
“Thanks, Silver,” I rolled my eyes. I wasn’t pretty. I was…normal. Pretty were Cora and Rose. They were stunning.
“Maybe try some lipstick today? Naya might have something,” my wolf offered, surprising me. Since when did a warrior alpha wolf start giving beauty tips?
“And why would I? If you remember, we are going for training.”
“You might run into him…” she whispered. I scowled instantly.
“So? You want me to be one of those glittery babes he fucks? No thanks,”
“No, but that might mask the scowl that’s plastered on your face these days,” she grimaced.
“Again…I don’t care. And he might not be there. He is a busy person,” I said breezily, trying to ignore my wolf’s snide comments as I turned away from the mirror and headed to the dining hall.
The dining hall was usually bustling, so nobody paid much attention to me. While Eli’s family was amiable, they weren't very welcoming. Packs prioritize unity and their own tribe, making it hard for them to accept strangers, especially someone like me, who didn't bother to answer their endless questions and kept to herself. However, today was different. As I entered, all eyes fell on me, and a creepy silence spread over the hall. Elder Ansel and Silas shot me dirty looks before returning to their food. I could feel eyes on me as I took a seat in the corner.
“I set out a plate for you,” I blinked, surprised to see Tessa hold out a plate laden with food for me. She was Elder Silas’s daughter and the asshole Graham’s mate. We have never talked before.
“Er…thanks,” I muttered, taking the plate from her. She gave me a small smile and walked away. A moment later, someone walked over with a mug of steaming coffee. A young girl I didn’t know.
“How does the special treatment fee?” Naya chuckled, taking a seat beside me.
“Umm, weird and unnecessary. Why is everyone acting so strangely?”
“Because you will soon be the Luna of this pack. Everyone knows you are Alpha Asher’s mate,”
Oh fuck.
“I won’t be the Luna of this pack,” I said, losing my appetite instantly. The idea wasn’t even remotely appealing to me so before this could go any further, I quickly choked down my food so I could leave.
“Where’s Eli?” I asked, placing my plate in the huge basket that held the dirty dishes for the Omegas to wash after the meal. I don’t like the practice but in our realm, blood matters. And omega were the lowest of all. It was assumed that jobs like these were automatically theirs to sort.
“He is having breakfast with the Alpha family today,” Naya answered. I nodded in response.
“I am off to training. See you later!” I said, giving her a hug.
“Why do you always have to train? Stay, we can talk or do girl stuff. I want to ask you so many questions!” she moaned, shaking my arm.
That’s exactly what I am trying to avoid, I thought. The less I talked to people around here, the less I would need to answer and the less the risk of something accidentally slipping through and getting me into trouble. Plus girl stuff wasn’t really not my thing.
“I am used to it,” I said softly. “But…we will go out soon, I promise. You can show me the town around here.”
“Deal?” she grinned, looking excited already.
“Deal,” I smiled. Turning on my heels, I headed out and jogged over to the huge ground where we train. As I reached the training grounds, everyone had already taken their positions. I was about to but the moment I spotted the man standing at the front, all glistening tanned skin and muscles with a kaleidoscope of tattoos across his arms and whatever was visible of his body in that loose tank top with huge arm holes, my feet froze on their spot.
“I told you,” Silver whistled. His dark eyes met mine and everything south of my belly clenched, making a shiver curl down my spine and goosebumps rise at the back of my neck. His eyes did a swift scan of my body, almost as if he couldn’t help it, His lips pressed into a thin line and jaws clenching tightly.
Of course, he didn’t like what he saw. His type was the blonde from last night. I averted my gaze, the thought leaving a dirty taste in my mouth. As I moved to take my position at the back, his deep, masculine voice halted me in my place.
“You are late, warrior.”
Ivy“You are late, warrior.”What in the Goddess's name was he doing here? But he was here, his eyes, that deep, intense gaze doing inexplicable things at the pit of my stomach. My heart almost felt like it would plummet out of my mouth.“Er…I…” I didn’t have a reply. What was I going to say? That I ended up sleeping late because you were haunting my dreams last night?“Maybe elaborate what he was doing as well?” Silver giggled.“Discipline is the first thing a warrior should possess, don’t you think?” he taunted. I wanted to retort back with something nasty as we both stared at each other, neither breaking eye contact but held back because he was right…I was late.“Yes…Alpha,” I said, keeping my voice firm. He let out a low, guttural growl in response, and I wasn’t sure if everyone else heard it but I did. When I risked a peek at him, his eyes were a shade darker, jaw even more tense.“Take your place,” Asher co
Asher“Be nice to her,” Eli warned, handing me the bouquet of red roses. “You already said enough back there. I thought you were trying to protect her?”Eli told me all about how the warriors hated Ivy and what Graham had tried to do with her and what she had done in return. It was funny that she almost broke a powerful warrior like Graham’s nose, but I was also a bit proud of her for standing up for herself like a true warrior should. He suspected that it might be Graham who pushed Ivy into the lake. And I swear if he was right, Graham and I would have a little talk of our own.“I am. From now on, she'll be training with me," I stated, grimacing at the beautiful flowers.“You questioned her abilities right in front of that dickwad, Graham,” Eli pointed out.“That's because Ivy doesn't seem like the one who would want me to be publicly protective towards her. And I didn’t want to make it too obvious. That was the o
Asher Noah and Logan were waiting outside my father’s study as I headed back to the Alpha House. It was clear from the look on their faces that it couldn’t be good. But I couldn’t care any less. In fact, it would be good for my father to not test me now. “Any hints?” I sullenly demanded from my brothers. They both shrugged in response. “See for yourself,” Logan said. I scowled and then, bracing myself, opened the door and stalked inside. My father was peering into something that seemed like very, very old…scripts? From what I could see, they looked like brittle pieces of paper, the color turning yellowish with age. “You wanted to see me?” I asked. My father looked up, no prominent expression on his handsome face except for the usual somberness. “Alpha Helius called,” he stated, as if that was all the explanation I needed to figure out what was wrong. “Alpha who?” “Alpha Helius of the YellowStone pack,” I
AsherI wasn’t sure how I was supposed to react as I spied the dead white wolf lying on the cold floor. Her coat was white as snow and in her eyes there was a blank, hollow look that immediately made me avert my gaze. It was a really depressing sight.“What is this?” Mac whispered.“That’s what I want to know,” I mumbled. “What is this?”“What do you think?” Logan asked.“A dead white wolf?” I offered.“It’s not just some dead white wolf, Ash. It’s been fifteen days since we spotted her here…” Noah said.“And your point is?” I demanded.“Look closely. It hasn’t decayed, and that’s not normal. Look at that spotless white coat. This should have been a lump of bones and fur, if anything,” Logan said.“And that’s not all. Look into her eyes…” Noah added. Even though I didn’t want to, I did move closer to take a glance. At first, nothing seemed out of…ordinary. But as I moved even closer, forcing myself to look into t
Ivy“Oh my goddess, am I dreaming?” I peeked up from the book I was reading and raised a brow at Naya as she stood by the bed, looking surprised. Way too surprised.“What is that supposed to mean?” I frowned.“You are never visible during these hours and mom told me you have been here since morning. Why didn’t you go to the training? You never miss training, ever.” Her tone was almost accusatory, and it made me roll my eyes.“I am just taking…a day off,” turning my eyes back to the book I pretended to read. Even if for the last hour or so, all I did was re-read the first paragraph.“You got up late today, and now you are taking a day off from training and reading a book...damn, Ivy are you pregnant?” I almost choked on my breath, blinking at the green-eyed girl. Naya had green eyes but really light in color unlike Luna Rose’s whose were very vibrant.“What?” I exclaimed, almost for a moment believing in that crap.“W
“Put me down!!” I shouted, thrashing my legs against his hold. “Put me down! What the fuck!” I punched him hard but, of course, he probably didn’t even feel it. “I told you not to try me,” Asher muttered, throwing open the door. “This could have gone much better.” “Put me down!!” I screamed, struggling against his grasp. “Put me down, Asher Gray!” Even if I was upside down and all I could actually see was his…well, ass, I could feel several curious eyes watching us. “I am going to kill you,” I threatened as he opened the car door. “Sure,” he said, absolutely disinterested. Leaning down, he lowered me into the passenger seat, surprisingly gentle, and shot me a look. Just as I was about to open my mouth to give him a piece of my mind, he pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and fastened it around my mouth. “This should keep your mouth shut for a while,” he said. I reached out to hit him, but fast as lightning, he had both my hands in his grasp. I glared at him, trying to wrigg
Asher This has literally got to be the most unromantic proposal ever. Ivy’s eyes were wide as she stared at me and, even after minutes passed away, that was all the response I got from her. A plain, blank stare. “Will you marry me?” I repeated and inwardly kicked myself for not bringing a ring. But then again, this wasn’t really a proposal. It was more like asking her to help me out. Dad was going to ride my ass non-stop if I didn't find a Luna before the reawakening ceremony. A mating ball was definitely not an option because first this wasn't the thirteenth century, and second, I didn’t want to end up a laughing stock. Plus, it wouldn’t be right to Ivyanka, regardless of her sentiments towards me. Or mine towards her. After giving this an entire afternoon and evening of thought, the best conclusion I came to was to ask her for help. However, now I realize I should have given it more thought, because I really
Ivy I was pretty damn sure he could hear the resounding pounding of my heart or sense the heat that flooded through my body. My mouth was dry as hay as he leaned closer, placing both his arms on either side of my head and caged me with his strong and muscular body. The way he looked into my eyes, almost like he was diving into the depths of my soul, had me both breathless and weak at the knees at once. And I have never been weak at knees for anyone. Ever. The pull towards him was so intense that I could almost taste it, something intoxicating lingering in my senses. “Because you are my mate,” Asher whispered. “And only you have the right to be my… Luna.” My stomach flipped, goosebumps tingling all over my skin at the way he articulated the word luna. It was a struggle to think highly of this man or even remotely try to trust him. But the way he called me his Luna, there was a deep, carnal promise hanging thr
