Chapter 62 - Under threat

Neil's POV

If I can't trust my household, who then should I trust?

Narni was my source of comfort each time I felt alone, without a mate which she called 'wife'. The only thing that separates us from being mother and child is the fact that she didn't birth me. Most of my neighbors already see her as my mother. Now it feels as if those warmth, those memories are being shattered by her voice alone. She's betraying me, selling me off to Lorenzo. She's causing me pains.

Heira surfaces temporarily in anger, snarling at the frightened Amelia. But he doesn't mind. Amelia gasps shortly as she moves away from me, aware of the intimidating presence of my alpha wolf.

'What are you still doing here? Do you want me to handle this myself?' Heira growls.
