Evelyn paced back and forth in her bedroom, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. She glanced at the flowers in her hand, feeling foolish for thinking Julian would appreciate them. The image of the blonde woman so close to him made her stomach churn. She had to apologize for last night, regardless of how she felt now.

Taking a deep breath, she resolved to face him. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her. She headed to Julian's study once more, hoping the woman would be gone. This time, she knocked firmly on the door.

"Come in," Julian's voice called out.

Evelyn pushed the door open and stepped inside, finding Julian alone, sitting behind his large mahogany desk. His expression was unreadable, his gray eyes focused on her.

"Evelyn," he said, his tone neutral. "What brings you here?"

She hesitated for a moment, then walked forward, holding out the flowers. "I wanted to apologize for last night. I... I know I made a mistake. And I brought these for you."
