Chapter 119

I staggered a bit, and my mind replayed everything that had just happened.

My hand immediately clutched my rib where blood was oozing out from.

With one last look at Jason's limp body, I staggered out of the basement.

I had to get help, and I needed to help Ares.

The whole house was still eerily quiet when I got back, but I shoved the thoughts to the far corner of my mind.

I dragged my feet up the stairs, each step I took saw pain burn through my body, and I left a trail of blood with each step, but I couldn't stop.

It felt like Nyx had suddenly gone cold and crawled back into her shell, which was a surprise.

Back at the basement, I felt like I had been possessed by another body, acting and speaking through me.

My head was banging, threatening to split open the more I thought about it, and I knew this wasn't the time to overanalyze the out worldly situation.

My eyes soon landed on Ares' door that was left half-open, and I rushed to it with what little strength I had left.
