18. LAST AS LONG AS IT CAN

They both returned to the apartment and settled in with Clara, giving Ariana a long hard stare while she went around to get herself ready to prepare a meal for the both of them. Ariana felt a little uneasy with the way Clara was staring at her and tried as much as she could to ignore it but it couldn't just pass her by.

After a long while, she sighed and slowly veered around to look at Clara. "Okay, I know you want to tell me something. What is it?" She asked and Clara scoffed.

"Are you going to pretend like you don't know what I'm trying to insinuate? " She asked. Ariana rolled her eyes and pretended as though she didn't understand.

"Honestly, I don't even understand the fuss of this attitude of yours. I just want to be on my own. Is there a crime in that? " She said and Clara scoffed.
