Emma woke up with a sigh but her eyes widened when she noticed the difference in her surroundings, her bed was softer and then it clicked in her. Last night's memories came flowing into her mind like a tsunami and she tensed up for a second.

Getting off the bed she limped to the dressing table as she gazed at her swollen bruised face in the mirror. The fingerprints of the slap were gone but the swelling and slight blueness were still there. A thin dried line of blood on her lower lip and her forehead. Her foot was swollen to its fullest. She softly raised her shirt and gazed at the claw marks on her ribs. Luckily the wounds and bruises of this time would fade away and won't leave a permanent mark like that one.

With a heavy sigh, she limped to the restroom and went through her morning routine. She was sure that it was a guest room because every essential thing was present in the restroom and they were new, packed, and untouched.

Emma slowly unlocked the door and went to sit back on
