Chapter Four

Aidan's POV

I woke up sweating after another scary nightmare about that same blue eyed creature, this time it had actually scratched my chest, I quickly checked to see if there's any mark on my chest and laugh at my own stupidity when I couldn't find anything, it happened in my dream and I actually thought there might be a mark? Stupid me!

I went downstairs to prepare breakfast as always before getting ready for school,the walk to school was very taxing for me due to my injured leg, Logan and his crew had decided to beat and crush my leg yesterday I'm lucky I can still walk, I slowly limped my way to school to find it already filled with students Walking around just like every other day the high ranking kids acting like they own the world and everybody else is beneath them.

I bowed my head and let my hair cover my face as usual, I haven't cut my hair in a while now so it's a bit rough with strands sticking out in different directions, I don't really care much about my looks since there's no one to impress and I doubt one can actually look good in e hand me downs.

My foot hit something and I fell hard with a humph coming out of me, every single person in the hallway laughed at my misfortune but it didn't hurt as this wasn't the first time something like this will happen to me.

I groaned as I pushed myself up only to land on the floor again as Logan stepped on my back.

"I never said you can get up now did I? You don't expect me to give you your present while you're standing in front of me like we're equals you know". He said and my eyes widen,

I can't believe I had forgotten about my birthday, I'm eighteen today, maybe the reason why I had forgotten about it is cause it's nothing special to me, it just means another year of torture is starting for me.

"Close your eyes so I can give you your birthday gift, it's a surprise"Logan said with a sinister smile on his face.

I stared up at him, knowing better than to close my eyes.

"I'm sure you don't want to do this the hard way, believe me it won't be fun.... at least for you" he said as the students laughed.

I forced myself to close my eyes and for sometime I didn't feel anything until I felt something stinky and slimy pour on me.

"Happy birthday mutt" He said as he emptied the whole bucket of the green liquid on me.

"What do you say to that? The future beta just wished you a happy birthday and all you can do is just sit there without saying anything? Sam said as he kicked my ribs causing to gasped in pain.

"What are you supposed to say? He asked as he kicked me again.

I coughed up some blood but still didn't tell him what he wants to hear.

He drew his foot back to kick me again and before I even realize what I was doing I caught his foot and pulled causing him to fall before proceeding to rub the slimy substance on his face.

' I'm ... I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that, I.. I didn't know what came over me" I stuttered.

"Well thanks to what came over you, we now have an excuse to hit you". Logan said as they attacked me, they hit me until i felt like I was going pass out from the pain.

"I think that's enough" Someone said from behind the boys.

"Who the fu...." Logan was saying but stopped when he saw who it was.

"Amelia! Sorry I didn't know it was you". He said with a sickly sweet smile on his face.

She only gave a subtle nod and glanced at me before walking away.

The bell rang and the students dispars to their various classes leaving me alone on the floor.

I struggled to my feet and decided to go home since no one even cares if I'm present or not.

After a very difficult journey home I entered my bathroom and strip off my clothes to wash off the sticky stuff on me.

I wash off the sticky stuff and tried my best to clean my bruises but paused when one of the wounds caught my eyes.

A deep gash ran across my chest from my right collar bone to the left side of my chest, the image of the creature from my dream clawing at my chest flashed through my head

"What the F" I said out loud.

I really need to talk to someone about this before something really bad happens, it's starting to get out of hand.

Amelia's POV

I walked into the school to deliver a file to the principal as my father requested, about walking into the hallway I start hearing the sound of fighting or the sound of someone getting beaten and I was right.

Logan and his crew were hitting the omega and he seems like he would die any moment from then.

"I think that's enough" I said furious but I didn't let it show on my face, my father might have allowed something like this but I won't.

"Who the fu...." Logan was saying but stopped when he saw who it was.

"Amelia! Sorry I didn't know it was you". He said smiling.

I gave a subtle nod so as not to show I'm angry and glanced at the omega who was also looking at me before walking away.

I rushed home to go see mother after delivering the file to the principal, I knocked before entering the room.

"Mom".I greeted as I walked to sit beside her.

"Fireflies"she said using the nickname she gave me since I was little.

"Mom I need your help" I said to her causing her to turn to me.

"Okay I'm listening"

" I want you to help talk to Dad, he should stop people from bullying the omega simply because he's weak". I said to her but she only look sad.

"Don't you think I've tried that already? Your father just won't listen he's a good Alpha but he hates weakness, why though I don't know, Aidan used to visit me here, we were very close until your father forbade him from seeing me" she explained sadly.

I sighed deeply.

"When I become Alpha which is two weeks now I'll make sure to change that no matter what Dad thinks". I said.

Aidan's POV

The moon was very bright but there was no stars to be seen, everything was still, very still nothing was moving.

I slowly Walked around the place, trees surrounded it like it was purposely planted to encase that place.

The wind suddenly picks up and the trees bends at the force.

A deep growl rumbled from behind me and a voice traveled through the wind into my ears

"Soon Aidan, Soon"
