When Riana returned to her room with Alpha Diego, she saw him packing things. She hugged him and begged him to go back to Valentin. She wanted to forget her feelings for Alpha Killian and escape the betrayal they did to him.

"I want to go with you, my love," she said gently.

"No, it's impossible because your mission is not over," Alpha Diego refused.

"Revenge is no longer important to me if the two of us will stay away from each other," she said.

"Is that the real reason, Riana?" Diego asked firmly.

Riana swallowed saliva and was very nervous at the tone of Alpha Diego's voice. She felt as if Alpha Diego doubted her.

"What do you mean, Diego?" she asked.

"You know how much I miss you, right?" she added.

"Nevermind about it. Just do your mission, and I want you to have accomplished everything when I return," Alpha Diego firmly responded to her.

Riana doesn't fully understand why Alpha Diego wants to continue the mission even though he knows it will get her closer to Alpha
