Chapter sixteen

Elora POV

“I see you have been by the door all this while.” I raised my head to look at Sarah, who just walked in. After Devlin left, I couldn’t bring myself to sleep, no matter how hard I pressed my eyes close. It wasn’t just coming.

I kept thinking about the kiss and how his hands felt on my body. Little did I know that it would have such an effect on me until now. I kept tossing around until she walked in, and now I had to stay calm to hide the feeling.

“And I see you can't sleep.” She smiled at me, walking closer and sitting right beside the bed. “Why is his scent all of you?” She asked again, sniffing around the air around me and I felt tense.

My toes curled as I flushed hard and tried burying myself under the sheet to hide myself from the embarrassment I was feeling, but that didn’t work.
