CHAPTER 84: STEALING A KISS WHILE SAVING HER

"Edna!" I called out, panic creeping into my voice that my voice was shaky.

Still no answer, my heart nearly stopped.

Edna was lying in the bathtub, water cascading over her unconscious form. Her face was pale, and her lips had a bluish tint.

Her beautiful wavy and long locks were all over her face that I had to run my hands all over it to remove it from her face so that I could see her well.

Without a second thought, I carried her out of the bathtub, my heart thumping like a church speaker.

I was so terrified to my bones that I was shaking all over as I held her to me.

Her body was cold, and I could feel the slight tremors of her muscles under her wet skin.

Sitting on the floor and then making her sit on me, I wandered my eyes all over her with fear in my eyes, "Edna, wake up!" I shook her gently, trying to rouse her. Still, no response.

I laid her on the bathroom floor and checked for a pulse.
