CHAPTER 9

Since last night's embarrassing scene, Ruby slipped in front of her apartment. It shouldn't have happened! Until now, her face kept getting red at the thought of such an embarrassing thing.

There was no kissing scene!

Her body was immediately released, and she fell on the asphalt. Damn Victor! The one who had no mercy was laughing at her.

As promised, the new bike arrived this morning. Much more expensive than Ruby's dream bike that she lost earlier, not lost, but Victor asked her to forget about it.

"Thank you for the bike!" Ruby said as she touched the bike in front of her apartment.

Ruby tried to get on the bike and walked outside. The weather in Boston today was friendly; it was neither hot nor rainy. It was cloudy, but Ruby was sure it wouldn't rain as the weather forecast had said. Unexpectedly, a bicycle approached her. Ruby's eyes widened when she saw a man she recognized smiling at her.

"Noah, when are you coming back?" said Ruby, stopping her bike on the side of the road
