Soren started to caress my back until I'm feeling okay from the choke. I heaved a deep sigh and thanked him because of it. Eventually, he removed his hand from behind me then Soren met my eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked while his eyes were darting with concern. I just nodded at him and slightly smiled. I was really surprised by what he said. I mean, he has a business trip and Rhys and I are the only ones who will be left here at home.

I don't even know how I tend to live with the man I had a one-night stand with, how much more if he and I will be the only ones left here once Soren will go out of town?
