CHAPTER 14

"I'm Axis' fiance," I answered and that made them all silent even those people who are walking in the hallway.

"OMG! I told you. They're really engaged!"

"Kyaaaah, Miss Yasha speaks up!"

"Oh my God. The news is really true!"

Those who heard what I just said screamed. bit my lower lip, hard. Did I really say that, didn't I? I just saw how the nurse smiled at me.

"Follow me Miss Yasha," she instructed so I followed her inside. We went into a private room where the nurse came out earlier.

"Just call me when you need something," she added before she finally came out. I just nodded until I heard the door close.

I continued walking into the said room and I saw Axis sitting on the hospital bed. He's looking outside the window. There was a pillow on his lap and he put his wounded arm on it. Basically, the suit he was wearing earlier was damaged and he was now only wearing a long sleeve shirt which is also torn. I pursed my lips, feeling pity and bad because of how he looked.

I trailed his body using my eyes. He got bruises on his shoulder down to his elbow. It already turned violet because his arm was peeled off and there's also a bandage on the left side of his forehead.

Soon, I approached him and sat on the side of his bed.

"Hey, y-you okay?" I asked out. He faced me and looked at me intently.

"How about you? Are you okay?" He asked back instead of answering me. I can read worry in his eyes.

"I'm okay," I heave a sigh. "Does it hurt? Don't tell me it's not because I know it does," I told him and I looked directly into his eyes. 

There, I got the chance to look at him this close. There were also wounds and scratches on his right arm. I even checked his face. He also had scratches. It was small but it was still obvious because his face was fair and smooth.

I feel like hating myself. I know it's all my fault this time. I let out a deep sigh again.

"Why did you do that?" I weakly asked him, my conscience is really killing me.

"I'm trying to save you," he also spoke softly. I looked at the ceiling then I looked at him again.

"But I hope you shouldn't have done that! You should at least shout at me instead to stop me from walking!" I couldn't help but to raise my tone at him.

The corner of his lips rose because of how I reacted. "Is that your way of appreciating what I did?" I could sense the irritation in his voice already. "Why don't you just say thank you instead of shouting me?"

"I am not shouting you because I did not appreciate what you did! Damn it! I am shouting you because I am so freakin' worried about you!" I unintentionally yelled at him.

Because of that, I saw how his lips parted same through as mine. I was late to realize what I just did and we both fell silent because of that. Aish! I bit my lower lip and I avoided his gaze.

"Ah, I'll just go out. I'll ... buy you f-foods." I said shyly and quickly left. I even groaned in pain when my wounded arm slightly touched the door. Shit. It hurts.

"Hey, are you okay?" I heard him ask.

"I am," I answered without looking at him and I closed the door completely. I leaned over and closed my eyes. I even hit my head.

What have you done Yasha? Aren't you thinking of what words you are going to say? I hit my head a few more times and stomped on the floor. Damn! Damn!

When I opened my eyes, I even felt more ashamed for myself because the people are looking at me. Argh! What a shameful action Yasha!

I tried to smile on them and I slowly bent down and left. I only sighed in relief when I got out of the hospital. Haaaay! What an embarrassing day for me!

I bought fruits for Axis. Fortunately, I had my wallet in my cardigan, but I don't know where's my sling bag and my phone now because I dropped it due to the incident that happened. 

I hurried back to the hospital to bring Axis the fruit I had bought. Good thing, I can walk pretty okay now compared earlier. I opened his room but he was not there. I only saw the two nurses.

"Where's Ax?" I asked them.

"That's what we were about to ask you, Miss Yasha. When we entered here, he is already gone," the nurse answered. "He still has his phone here as well as his suit." she added.

I covered my face using my hand because of dismay. Where does that stupid idiot go? He knew he was just got treated! He's not yet okay for Pete's sake!
