Chapter Ten

"You know, I can walk on my own without any problems, right?" I say, but Roman doesn't even bother to listen. Two weeks have passed since I came to the hospital, and today, after many, many arguments between the doctor and Roman, he finally left me to go home. "Roman?"

My cheeks started burning and my heart started beating faster. His hands tightened around my waist and legs as he held me bridal style. We continued walking towards the main entrance, my eyes never leaving his face. ''Like what you see?'' he asks, a slight smile forming on his lips. I hit his shoulder and put my face on his shoulder, my nose buried in his neck. The place where I find peace.
