“And done,” Vi said as soon as she finished putting the eyeliner. I opened my eyes and stared at the girl in the mirror. “Wow,” I breathed. My gaze flickered to Vi, staring at my reflection with approval, a proud glint in her eyes. I stood up, careful to not ruin the dress that somehow Vi had bought for me. When I had asked her, she had shrugged. 

The wine red off-shoulder bodycon dress fit me perfectly. Even with a lack of curves, I had managed to pull it off. She had kept the makeup light, painting my lips with red lipstick and dabbing just a little highlighter. My hair was left open but styled in a tousle. I felt beautiful.
