Chapter 96

Avery’s pov

Ignoring the little voice nagging me inside I collected the phone from her grasp uttering a quick thank you before leaving. She watched me walk away without uttering a single word and though I couldn’t guess what was on her mind I knew there was no way she’d sell me out.

I was initially going to ask Peter for help but I’m glad things turned out this way, honestly I don’t really trust him. There seems to be some wrong with his behavior, though I don’t know what it is I don’t dare sit back and wait for him to reveal himself.

Confused on where to go I settled for a cheap motel down town. Although this was not a clean place for my children, I knew Cameron wouldn’t find me here.

The building was old and tattered, as I walked into the building there was a strong smell of cigarette, on getting inside I realized the cashier who could be seen to be a middle aged woman was actually the one smoking.
