36. The Grand Ball

The ball was at a seven star hotel. The most expensive and elite one in the country. 

We showed our invitation to guards and were granted entry.

The inside was just as beautiful. Elegant design carved with gold covered the cream walls and glittering golden pillars carved with the same flower design stood tall and gorgeous all around the room. The decor gave it the look of a palace. 

 

As we made an entrance, which was quite ordinary if you ask me, every eye in the room turned towards us. Everyone was glaring as we made our way deeper into the room.  My eyes searched for only one person, who by all means I did not want to see. 

But the worst thing, I didn't even bother to read the invitation before coming here, so naturally I didn't know that the theme of the Ball was cream and gold. 

Well this explains the choice of decor now.
