As we get into Zana’s car, I can’t help but notice the intense penetration of Henry’s stare all over my body. I’m always laid out bare in front of his stripping eyes. And I don’t feel comfortable about it.

“Take care, girls, and stay safe,” Zana’s mom tells us and we nod. Henry’s mom is right beside her as Zainab gets into the back.

“We’ll call you when we get there,” Zana informs her mom and she smiles, bidding us goodbye.
