“You’re not the only one who went to school young lady, you don’t have to make such a mess because you’re reading,” Mom says, tip-toeing through the pile of books I had littered on the floor.

I glance at her and turn my attention back to the book I had open in front of me. I have a very important test coming up tomorrow and I have been studying all week, getting little to no sleep.

I was shocked when I logged into my student portal to see my grades had slipped by thirty eight percent and we’re already halfway into the semester. Every single point I can score is important right now, even half a point will go a long way.
