New Day, New Trouble

Mr. Rivera.

I heard a knock on the door to my office while I was working on the computer in front of me.

“Come in,” I answered, completely uninterested. Usually, the staff related any matter regarding the company to the manager I had put in charge.

I was ready to send away anyone who came in when the door opened and two of my staff members walked in, one scurrying behind the other.

The latter being the manager who was supposed to make decisions on my behalf.

I knew this looked like trouble but I managed to maintain my composure like I always did.

I looked up at them and raised my eyebrows.

This was my way of gesturing to them to speak up for whatever reason they were in my office.

“Sir, we have bad news,” one of them said.

“And what is that?” I said firmly.

Usually I'm unshaken by circumstances since I always find a solution and this time would not be an exception. I will always find a way out.

“We have a problem, sir,” the manager said again, trembling and I was starting to feel
