He stepped into the kitchen, his gaze hard and unwavering, my heart pummelled hard against my chest with each step he took until he got to where we stood.
He didn't cast a glance in his mom's direction at first, that intense gaze had me pinned where I stood.
Confusion. Hurt. Anger and betrayal were the emotions I could recognize burning in those orbs.
"What does it mean? What were the both of you saying ?" He clenched out, his gaze flickering through his mom and then me."When did you come in? " His mom spoke, wearing a shaky smile but his expression didn't ease, if anything it grew even more sour.
"I'm asking what all of that mean, dad is undergoing surgery in a few days? When did all of these... " He trailed off, the bitter tone radiated heat out of him
