Dirty blonde short hair, broad shoulders, muscular back, fine round ass and strong muscular legs, all that covered up in what seemed like a navy blue police uniform.
Wow...who is this guy?
“Arrest me officer, I’ve been a very bad girl!” One of the girls shouted from behind me, creating a ruckus all around us, students in the doorway and also the ones already seated in class bursting into a fit of crazed laughter.
“Who said that?” Ms. Kelley’s high pitched voice shouted highly annoyed, both she and the guy turning to look straight at me.
My eyes widened, quickly shaking my head, trying to say it wasn’t me, finding myself suddenly frozen in my spot once his eyes landed on me.
Ocean blue...The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my entire life were now staring right back into mine, digging deep straight into my soul, sending an oddly pleasant vibe.
“Miss Summers, right on time. We were expecting you,” Ms. Kelley stated, crossing her arms over her ample bosoms.
What? What for? I don’t recall doing anything wrong...
“You were?” I asked, staring at her utterly confused.
“Yes, as a matter of fact, officer...” She paused, clearly yet unaware of his name, quickly followed by his answer,
“Azrael.”
Her eyebrows shot up, her gaze quickly shifting to him for a brief moment, obviously taken aback by that answer, just as much as I was.
Azrael? Seriously? What kind of name was that?
“Right, officer Azrael and I,” She started speaking again, putting an emphasis on his name, suddenly closing her mouth again as she looked somewhere past me.
“Shouldn’t you girls be attending your own classes by now?” She asked with a frown, looking at the annoying flock of females right behind me and without even bothering to listen further to their meaningless rants she hurried past me, slamming the door shut in their faces then strode back to her desk, next to the “officer Azrael” guy.
“Now, where were we?” She started speaking again, his burning eyes never leaving my face as she did so,
“Ah yes, as I was saying, officer Azrael and I, we were just talking about your relationship with the victim-”
“Relationship? What relationship? I’m not in any relationship with anyone!” I cut her off mid-sentence, my features instantly contorting into a frown.
What the hell was she talking about?
I haven’t gotten anywhere near a boy in years!
Not that I didn’t want to, but my idiot of a brother like he always is, just likes too much to scare them off.
“Mitch Davies...does that name ring a bell?” She said, raising one eyebrow, looking at me in expectance.
Wait, Mitch is the victim?
Anyway, yeah, that name does ring a bell but the difference is that he wasn’t anywhere near my boyfriend, or anything like that. In fact, he was actually working with my brother...
Obviously, I can’t say anything about that, so here comes the excuse,
“It does ring a bell, but we didn’t have any relationship! We just...barely knew each other,” I explained, hoping they’ll buy it and leave me alone, but the frown creasing her features as soon as I answered was telling otherwise.
“Well, in case you didn’t know, besides the teachers, you are the only one who actually ever interacted with him...so...”
What? Shit! Shit! Damn you Mitch, and your non-existent social life!
“So?” I innocently replied, inviting her to speak further, even though I definitely knew where this conversation was leading to.
“So, I’m afraid you’ll have to follow officer Azrael here. He has some questions for you.”
Of course he does.
Too bad I already knew my lesson.
“Sure,” I shrugged, acting as casual as possible.
He carefully studied me for a couple of moments, right before he moved from his spot and strode past me, towards the door.
“Follow me.”
His deep voice rang from behind me, followed by the sound of the door opening.
Without saying a word, I obeyed his command and exited the classroom, following him down the hallway.
Struggling to keep up with his long strides, I increased my pace, running after him like a lost puppy, totally unaware when he had suddenly stopped, my forehead accidentally colliding with his back.
“S-sorry...” I stuttered, taking a step back, noticing he didn’t even bothered to turn around and look at me, let alone say something.
Well, yeah, judging by his huge, bulky frame compared to my much smaller, fragile one I bet he barely even felt me...
He opened a door and entered an empty classroom, waiting for me to follow, closing the door behind me afterwards.
I chose to remain standing on my spot while he strode towards the teacher’s desk then leaned against it, crossing his bare arms, his bulging muscles looking even bigger.
Desperate to keep him distracted from asking me questions I wasn’t allowed to answer to, I found myself asking the one thing that kept popping in my head.
“Is your name really Azrael? Or is it a nickname or something?”
“Yes, that is really my name,” Came his answer shortly after my question, looking at me rather bored already.
“Really? As in ‘the angel of death’ Azrael?” I jokingly asked, unconsciously escaping a small giggle.
Noticing how his body suddenly stiffened, accompanied by a deep frown now creasing his beautiful features, my smile suddenly went down, instantly regretting those words.
Uh oh...I think I’ve touched a nerve...
Just as I finished that sentence in my head, he was already right in front of me, inches from my body, his evil glare burning holes in my skull.
“How do you know about that?”
Is this guy for real?
“F-from the Bible, like everybody else on this planet?” I stuttered unsure, the coldness in his deep blue irises suddenly switching into something I couldn’t quite decipher, until I noticed how his gaze slowly went down, so I followed the action, gasping in utter embarrassment once I've realized what I was doing.
My hand was firmly clutched onto his forearm, my nails deeply digging into his soft, barely tanned skin.
“I-I’m s-so sorry!” I stuttered, quickly removing my hand from his arm like it was on fire.
He blankly stared at my face for a couple of moments, seemingly shocked, right before his gaze went down again, his huge palms gently cupping my much smaller ones, sending oddly pleasant, warm vibes travelling throughout my entire body.
What the fuck is he doing?
“Dude, what are you-”
I suddenly stopped talking, watching how he slowly, hesitantly lifted my palms and placed them either side of his face, closing his eyes for a brief moment and deeply exhaling.
“Hey, dude, are you ok?” I tried to be nice though he was definitely freaking me out already.
His eyelids suddenly flew open, that deep blue visibly darkening by the second, right before he quickly stormed past me, slamming the door shut behind him, leaving me standing in there all alone, utterly shocked.
What the fuck was that?
“Oh my god, are you being serious right now?” Her eyes widened, staring at me utterly shocked after all I’ve told her about my weird encounter with that officer Azrael guy.We were currently sitting on our favorite bench, eating our lunch under the old, huge oak tree, shielding our small frames from the burning summer sun.I nodded, taking another bite from my delicious chicken sandwich, my empty stomach silently thanking Rosie for stuffing it in my bag this morning.“Let me get this straight; he simply ran away, just like that, no other questions no nothing?” She raised one eyebrow, taking a sip from her soda can as she eyed me in expectance.“Yeah. But I’m glad he did. And you know why,” I answered, earning a quick nod from her as I actually thought how lucky I was that he did, that way I wasn’t forced to invent some more lies and excuses.God knows how much I hate it…I hate lying! But still, I have no other choice. I have to. Even if my brother does what he does, I have to protect
I took Kieran’s huge palm, allowing him to help me get out of the car as I carefully held my black floor-length dress, giving him a small smile and a “thank you”, earning a simple nod from him.My brother soon joined me also holding out his arm for me to take, showing his million dollar dazzling smile.“Shall we?”I nodded in response, tangling my thin arm with his strong muscular one, together walking towards the classy restaurant, following Kieran’s lead.He opened the big floor-length glass door, waiting for us to get inside and as soon as we did, my brother stopped for a brief moment, giving him precise instructions while I looked around, gazing at the opulent, lavish-styled room.Golden yellow wallpapers with intricate designs and swirls, neatly polished wooden floors, round white fabric covered tables with symetrically placed golden fabric covered comfy chairs and dimly-lit crystal chandeliers, all that giving it a very relaxing vibe.“Come Blake,” My brother’s deep voice pulled
Rick I felt the life literally draining out of me as I widely stared at her innocent trembling form, her glossy eyes tearing my heart to pieces, making me feel so helpless...So fucking useless...There she stood, facing her possible death, unmoved as I watched the horror scene unfold right in front of my eyes, unable do to anything at all, my heart slamming wildly against my ribcage as I watched that fucking bastard point the gun at her face, smirking like a fucking maniac. And then it happened...He pulled the trigger and my heart stopped for a second, watching everything go in slow motion, wide-eyed, the bullet going straight to...Lucifer’s chest?I stood there frozen for a brief moment, staring dumbstruck at Lucifer’s body standing still, unmoved, shielding my sister’s tiny frame as she kept shaking, her eyes closed shut while I was still unable to register what the fuck just happened. He just...saved my sister’s life...He took the bullet destined for her...The bullet...Quickl
“But...you promised...” I whispered, dejectedly lowering my gaze to my simple black chucks, fighting the tears threatening to spill all over my cheeks.“Yes, and now I take it back,” He stated in a cold, distant tone, not even bothering to raise his sight from the papers lying on his desk.I knew too damn well why he was doing this. After that incident few days ago with Ricardo, he started fearing that the bastard would try to come after me.So he increased our security staff, guarding every single corner of our estate. He even made Kieran my personal bodyguard, instructing him to follow me absolutely everywhere, even at school, this meaning that I was forced to take a ride with his car every morning and afternoon, instead of going with Leila as I usually did. However, I complied and accepted all this, hoping that if I indulge him he would still agree to let me go to that frat party with Leila.Clearly, I was wrong.“Whatever. I’m done with this shit. Don’t even bother to talk to me a
I laid in my large comfy bed with my hands ducked behind my head, watching Leila stare at me, gaping like a fish on land after what I’ve just told her.“He’s throwing a party, just for you?” She incredulously shouted, earning a simple nod from me.“Yup...”The truth was I myself still couldn’t believe it. In less than a week, Luc and I became really good friends. He even managed to get under my brother’s skin -how he managed to do that I still have no idea by the way- and now he was going to throw a party at his place, just to make me happy.Crazy, huh?“Wow...Who is this guy? I totally have to meet him!” She gushed, smiling slightly dazed, squeezing the small pillow in her arms a little tighter,“By the way, do you think he would mind if I tag along?” She asked, tilting her head to the side, raising one eyebrow.“No, of course he wouldn’t. You’re my best friend after all. And you know best friends have special privileges,” I winked, giving her a toothy grin, seconds before she quickl
Unknown“And now you’re telling me?”“Excuse me, but I was on a little “trip”, turning Heaven and Hell upside down, searching for anyone who could possibly know anything about this! I even asked the Elders!”“And what did they say?”“Seriously? Do you really think I would be here, if they gave me any ounce of information?”“But what were you doing there in the first place?”“I told you, I was tracking a demon who happened to kill a human right in that campus. And apparently, she was the only one who actually ever interacted with the victim, so I was supposed to question her when that happened.”This was boring...like really boring...I laid sprawled on the couch, watching my dear brothers argue over some random human who apparently managed to touch Azrael and remain pretty much alive...This really was something, given the fact that no human being ever succeeded on doing that without having a one way ticket straight to Heaven or Hell, depending on the case.“So...are you a hundred per
Wow...I totally didn’t see that coming...I blankly stared at the three of them, utterly dumbstruck for a couple of moments, not really knowing what to say or do.I actually almost forgot why I even came here in the first place...“Blake?” Luc’s voice suddenly pulled me out of my daze, noticing the faint hint of concern plastered on his features.“Hmm?” I mumbled, this time focusing solely on him.“Are you ok?” He asked, taking a step closer, gently brushing his fingers against my arm.“Yeah, sure. I’m fine,” I nodded, giving him a reassuring smile, then averted my gaze back to his siblings, Azrael, who was still intensely staring at me, that deep frown never leaving his beautiful features, seeming like he was trying to somehow figure me out while the other guy, Raphael, was busy scanning me up and down from head to toe, seemingly searching for any flaws.“Okay, enough with the-”“Blake!”Shit!Luc was abruptly cut off mid-sentence by my brother’s angered tone, the sound of my name be
After that short “pep-talk” in the bathroom we hurried back downstairs, entering the grand living room, only to find a young woman, looking around her early thirties and dressed as a maid, wiping clean a small glass coffee table. We approached her and as soon as she raised her sight, I greeted her with a warm smile.“Excuse me, ma’am but do you by any chance happen to know where the four “happy friends” left?” I nicely asked, also earning a small chuckle from Leila at my choice of calling them while the young woman simply smiled back.“Yes, they are currently sitting in the dining room. Come now,” She motioned for us to follow her,“Master instructed me to escort you there,” She explained, that warm smile still etched on her soft features.Master?? What the fuck? He’s asking his maids to call him master? What are we, in the early 1920′s?We followed her through the large hallway and as soon as we reached our destination, she opened the huge wooden doors for us, motioning for us to
