I watched as Channing kneeled down next to her uncle who was seated on a chair in the common room. She handed him a glass of water while he spoke to her about her mother. The way her eyes lit up when Kai told her about his memories in the Black Moon Warriors made me smile.

"Do you trust him?" Jacob asked from my side. Without breaking my stare at my mate, I shrugged. "She does. My alpha senses are making me paranoid I think; having an unknown man on my territory. Ryan is upstairs in the office looking him up to see if he really is a Council Official," I sighed out. I saw Jacob nod out of the corner of my eye. "Have you told the Alpha?" He asked.
