Six

"You are sure nothing is going on in there that you want to talk to me about?" Dad asked again as he glanced towards the school.

Chuckling, "Nothing dad, I promise." It is just I panicking because my heart wants to reach out to another, it is no big deal.

"Alright then dynamite, you go have an amazing day okay."

"Okay." I waved before entering the school gate. Today might end up being an awkward one for me.

Dad had called the school over the weekend to ask them to change my class schedule as the schedule was too stressful for me to keep up. I am going to pick my new schedule today and this change might not go well with Owen and the others.

I scanned the crowd for Skylar's red hair but couldn't find her. 'Is she late today or did she come early?' We normally would meet here every day.

Shrugging, I walked into the building and went towards her locker area.

"... bitch!" I watched as Vivian, one of the ladies who would always glare at me poke Skylar causing her to stagger back.

Just how much strength did she put into that poke?

"What are you doing?" I asked causing Skylar to shake her head at me.

"If she were truly your friend, then she will stay away from my man!" Vivian looked my way with so much hate.

"Skylar..." I went close to her and I held her hand. Seeing her glossy eyes, I felt a rage within me like never before. I turned and glared at Vivian who looked a little surprised.

"How dare you?" I asked in a low tone.

Clearing her throat, "If you cared for her, you will leave this school and town." Vivian rushed away.

"I should have slapped her." I murmured.

Turning to Skylar, she was looking at me weirdly. "What?" I asked as I used my palm to clean my face. I wondered if I had something on my face for her to stare that way.

"Your energy earlier..." Skylar started but shook her head as other students began flocking in.

I had only been angry earlier so what's the big deal?

"How was your weekend?" Sophia asked seeing as Skylar wasn't going to keep on talking about the energy which she thought odd.

"It was great. I went on a date with mom on Saturday, I didn't know how much I needed the break until I had it." Skylar grinned. "What about you, how was your weekend?"

"It was okay. We went grocery shopping for the week, and we had a movie night. Aside from that, I was in all through sleeping and just lazing around." She smiled shrugging.

"That sounds like a fun weekend too." Skylar grinned as she held Sophia's hand so they can walk to class together.

"Uhm Skylar, I need to go to the administrative office." Skylar stopped and raised a brow. "I asked for a new class schedule. I cannot continue to attend classes with them, especially after what happened earlier. I am truly sorry Sky." Sophia knew she had such an encounter because of her. If only those girls hadn't seen her with their crush always, they wouldn't have bothered Skylar.

"Are you asking for a change because of me?" Skylar questioned. Sophia shook her head.

"No, I... All through last week, I was unable to achieve anything in class, I don't know Skylar, but I felt the need to give some space between myself and the boys." 'Especially him. I need my sanity back.' She thought inwardly as she bit her lower lips. Skylar nodded.

"Then let's go get your new schedule. Who knows we might have even more classes together now." Turning towards the administrative office, they both went for Sophia's new schedule.

Alexios POV

'She feels uncomfortable with us!' Listening on her conversation with her friend had left my mood sour. Mom was right, she would want to stop seeing me, was I that much of a nuisance to her?

'Am I truly a hovering fly to her?'

"Should I go over?" Owen asked through their link.

Shaking my head, "No." If they were to try and stop her, she will only want to go farther away from me.

"Then should we also reschedule..." Caius kept quiet seeing the reaction from the others.

'Wouldn't rescheduling our classes to be the same as hers make her run?' Alexios hated how helpless he was feeling. All weekend, he had thought of ways to get her into liking him more than a friend, to get her to one day be his. He hadn't expected her to act first.

"Who hurt the friend and why? I want to know it all." From their conversation earlier, the friend had been in some sort of trouble and Sophia seem to blame herself and her friendship with them.

"I am on it." Owen responded as he went over to ask the other students questions.

It didn't take him long to hear the full story of what had transpired between Vivian and Skylar.

"How dare they?" They all knew of these ladies obsession with the team but they had never bothered with it. But today, they had dared to do such a thing.

"I will take care of this I promise," Wyatt promised.

Alexios wanted to deal with it himself, but seeing the determination in Wyatt's face, he couldn't tell him not to so he nodded.

Owen went ahead to get Sophia's new schedule. Alexios had been tempted to influence the new schedule but held himself back in fear of her pulling further away from him. "We have few classes together with her." Owen grumbled. Unlike when they could see her the whole week and sit together with her in all classes, now they can only look forward to having her in the same class as them.

Alexios only stared at the schedule frowning, he didn't like how he couldn't see her as much as he wanted or breathe her in when he wants to but right now, he has no choice but to respect her decision.

'Will it be too much if I had people watching her? Today it had been her friend, what if they went ahead to mess with her the next time?' The thought bothered him.

"They won't dare to bother her when I am done talking with them." As though Wyatt could read Alexios thoughts, he assured him of Sophia's safety.

Nodding, they all head in for class. 'This is going to be a long week.' Those were Alexios' thoughts.
