She woke up alone.

His smell was on her and everywhere around, and the bed was still warm.

It was not long ago that he left her alone there, in the room.

Vampires don’t sleep, but purebloods could if they wanted to, which I think he did.

The only thing she didn’t understand was why he left.

Raven wanted to wake up in his arms and feel all the love she was feeling last night when they made love.

She did feel loved by him, she felt all of it, but he left anyway.

Her human suffered but the vampire inside her suffered more.

She was angry and hurt by his behavior, she was his beloved, and she gave him all of herself, her soul, body, and heart.

Everything she had belonged to him now, and forever.

She let the water wash out her tears and cried in silence in the shower.

She was broken, realizing that her life would be forever like this from now on, and it was tearing her apart because she could feel his love.
