THE STORY CONTINUES IN ETHAN'S POV

What had I done? I hadn't meant to hurt her but when I heard snippets of her conversation last night, I just lost it and I was immediately reminded of the night that Lucy and Damien had done what they did.

I had been so out of it last night, it was the loud crash that resonated through the house that got people's attention and that's why they had rushed upstairs.

The building security always kept spare keys to every apartment, so they would be able to have to assess the apartment in case there was an emergency. That was how they had been able to enter the apartment last night and rescue Kate.
