Finish Her Mate

In the middle of a forest in a small cabin, three persons were sitting on the floor face to face. In front of them were some circles and different magic tools. One of them was a hundred-year-old witch and the other two were werewolves, whose faces and bodies were covered with a black cloak. They were arguing over something

"I told you to make me a potion which can kill the princes. But what you gave me did not affect her." Said the cloaked man.

"I gave you what you had asked for. If it didn't have any effects on her that only means she is the chosen one." said the witch.

"I also think that she's the chosen one. She possessed the power that no one has." said the other wolf. From her voice, it was evident that she was a woman. The witch didn't give much attention to their talk. She was chanting something with her eyes closed. "There is a way to find out if she is the chosen one or not. The process will be needed something from her body, either hair or blood. If you can manage to get them then we can go ahead with the process." said the witch. The male wolf looked at the women with him. She just shook her head and searched for something in her bag. After a few seconds, she pulled out a handkerchief from her bag. She opened it and there was a strand of blond hair inside the piece of cloth.

"This is the hair of the princess." said the woman and handed it to the witch.

The witch took the hair chanted some spell. A bowl with blue water appeared in front of her. She put the hair inside it and keep chanting. Soon the blue water turned into a golden glowing liquid. The other two persons were looking at the whole process curiously. After a few moments, the witch stopped chanting and opened her eyes.

"You were right. She is the chosen one. You can't just kill her in a normal way." said the witch.

"Then what can we do to not let her gain her powers?" asked the male.

"Her powers will be released fully when she will be mated and marked by her true mate. So if you want to stop her from gaining more power, then you have to stop her from finding her true mate." the witch replied.

"But dad how can this be possible? The mating ball is in a week." said the female wolf. The witch smiled inwardly. So they are father and daughter. The man squeezed his daughter's hand, forbidding her to reveal their secrets. And then the girl stopped talking.

"Thanks for your information madam. Here are your fees. Now we will take our leave." said the man, handing a pouch to the witch. After leaving the cabin the man slapped his daughter hard on her face.

"I told you to keep quiet unless you are told to talk," he whispers yelled at her.

"I'm sorry dad. I won't repeat this mistake," she replied and then they started walking to their car.

"We have to make sure she doesn't meet with her mate." said the man.

"But it is impossible. All the unmated Alphas are coming to join the ball. What if one of them is her mate?" asked the daughter.

"Then we have to finish her mate before they can mark each other. We cannot let her gain her power. It will be impossible to kill her once she gained her power." said the father. After walking for a while they reached their car and drove away from the forest.

At Northern Palace

The whole palace was decorated with different flowers to welcome the princess. Rose was happily roaming around catching up with her old friends and other pack members. She was really happy after returning from the Royal Academy. She loved roaming around the palace when she was younger. Now coming back after two years she was getting more excited about seeing the members of their pack.

"Princess it is good to see you," said Grace one of the omegas. She works in the kitchen of the palace for years.

"Nana Grace, how many times have I told you to call me by my name. But seems like you forgot everything as I was not here." Rose said with fake anger.

"Oh, my dear I am sorry Rose. What can I do? I am getting old so it is normal for me to forget things." Grace said with a sweet smile. Rose hugged her.

"I missed you nana Grace." She said. Then they started talking about different things.

After meeting almost all the members of the palace Rose went to Sheila's house to meet her. She didn't have time to meet her after their graduation ceremony. When Rose reached Sheila's house she heard some muffled voices from inside. She became curious as no one should be here except for Sheila. As her father David was in the palace making arrangements for the ball and her mother died a long time ago. Rose pushed open the door of the house and went inside. As she was getting close the sound was getting clearer. It was the sound of moan and clap. The sounds were coming from their kitchen so Rose walked to the kitchen. As soon she reached the entrance of the kitchen her face became red out of embarrassment. She swirled around and ran to the living room but she wasn't fast enough. Sheila hastily fixed her clothes and went after her.

"Hi, Rose! I didn't expect your visit." Sheila said sitting beside Rose.

Rose's P. O. V

Finally, it's my birthday. Everyone is busy around here with the last-minute preparations. From this morning my wolf Serene has been squealing in my head. She said that she had a feeling that we will meet our mate today. Just the thought of my mate made a shiver through my body. By shiver, I mean in a good way. I always kept myself reserved for my mate. I remember when I met Sheila last time she was giving me a lecture about having fun around, till I find my mate. But that was not my thing. I clearly remember our fight on this matter.

FLASHBACK

"What were you doing Sheila? He is not even your mate. How can you do things like that with him." I told her.

"I was just having fun, Rose. You should also have fun now that you are an adult," she said smirking while pouring a glass of orange juice for her.

"You know I believe that you should have saved yourself for your mate," I told her.

"Come on Rose, we are not in twelve centuries. We are now in the twenty-second century. So grow up. Who wants to wait till the time you will meet your mate?" she questioned me. I wanted to answer her but then decided to leave instead.

FLASHBACK END

I need to fix everything with her before the ball starts so now I am going to Sheila's place. I was on my when I was hit by a scent of "Sandalwood".

"Mate" Serene shouted in my head. And I started searching around me for the source of this mind-blowing scent.
