Fernando's POV

"Good day, boss," Paolo's voice boomed into my ear from the other end. "I've gotten the information."

Last night, after the whole fiasco with Helen, I had called Paolo and asked him to find out about Ethan's sickness.

"Good," I said. "So what is wrong with him?"

"He has aplastic anemia and needs a bone marrow transplant immediately. Both Miss Crawford and her friend tested negative, so neither of them can donate their bone marrow to him." He divulged. "His condition keeps dwindling as the day goes by."

Running my hands through my hair, I sighed as I thought about the kind of agony the poor boy was probably in.

And yet, Helen wanted me to stand by and watch our son wither into nothing.

God forbid something bad happened to Ethan while I was still alive and breathing.

My mind was made up now.

I would help Ethan whether Helen liked it or not.

Right now, the most important thing was for our son to get well. After that, Helen and I would iron out our issues.
