Chapter 80: Fed her

Upon hearing what Reginald said, Mabel realized that meant either her father or her brother would be at the party and her eyes unconsciously scanned the hall looking for either of the two.

She however didn’t find them as it was a big hall and there were many guests. By the time she returned her attention to her table, Reginald and Kate were already on their feet.

“You look good, Miss Pearson,” Reginald complimented her before turning to leave and as soon as they were gone, Mabel heaved a sigh of relief as she had made it out alive.

The wedding reception started soon after and it was all fun and partying. Christian, however, didn't get up from his seat and Mabel was happy about that.

Her eyes went over to the bride and groom who were busy dancing with their friends and she smiled as it was a beautiful sight.

However, she had no intention of ever getting married especially when she remembered that her mother getting married, destroyed her life and that of her daughter.
