CHAPTER 14

AMARA POV.

I watched Lena open the door as I sat back against my pillow. My headache was starting to subside but it was still lingering at the back of my head. “Okay, thank you.” Lena spoke, gaining my attention again. She closed the door and walked over to my closet. “You have a visitor at the gate.” She said and opened my closet and started to rummage through it. I sat there dumbstruck for a moment before it sunk it what she just said. “What? My brother is here?” I asked as I got out of bed. I ignored the pounding that returned as my heart thumped nervously. Alex was here. He actually came to see me.

“Yes. Go take a quick shower while I get you something to wear.” Lena said and I dashed to the bathroom to do just that.

The shower was quick but it made a lot of difference. I felt better but now my stomach was rumbling as I realised that I didn’t eat last night.
